Is Anyone Else Going to Miss the Dream Squad?

LOL--don't know about anyone else, but not what I was expecting!

So--if you can tell us--was the Dream Squad well liked among CM's or disliked? I've seen some threads where it sounded like some of the Dream Squad CM's might have gotten delusions of grandeur.

Generally, we had a positive opinion of them.

Mind you, they did have their moments. For example, on the opening day of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, when they decided to go through the three-four hour line and randomly backdoor hundreds of people onto the Attraction as a Magical Moment...yea, that didn't go over to well with Attractions CMs or with anyone else (I heard the line at City Hall to complain stretched down Main Street...).

However, other than that, they're good people, doing good work. I've had the pleasure to work with a goodly number of Dream Squad CMs, and they all seem like genuinely nice people. They certainly, for the most part, don't have wild delusions of grandeur, lol.

Miss who?? Dream squad what?? In the 4 times we were there...we never got dreamed! :worship: We saw them a few times, but nada.

We were dreamed on all five trips during this time. Heck yeah, I am going to miss it!!!

Ok I want to be whiny for two seconds, yes I went to the parks alot, and even WDW. But man was I getting super bummed to see the back of a group getting dreamed and us never getting anything :sad2:

Seriously all I really wanted was some silly dream ears :sad1:

Ok any way I am over it! hahah!

I like the new idea much better, with a chance for everyone to get a special day. I hope if Disney ever does another give away they do something more like what they did back in the 80's. Everyone got a prize as you entered, from a small land pin, or you could win one of the shiny new cars out front or whatever. It was fun for all!

But I will say I am so happy to have gotten to share in the experience of some of those Dis'ers that were dreamed cause that was FUN!

I will miss them too. We were dreamed every time we went during the promotion. I remember feeling like such a VIP the first time we got Dream Fast Passes. So much fun!

they will be missed. we won lots of dream fp...... some ears and my daughter n i r the only ones with both pin lanyards from both years. what will we do on the mornings now? they just called you to the park...with prizes....

And --of topic--I've been meaning to ask--how is the planning for the DL wedding coming?

Ohhhh mannnnnnnnn. I didn't know about those. I'm a sucker for Fleur de Lis stuff (it's my sorority symbol). Rats. The watch shop on Main Street?

Okay, the store is the watch shop where they paint the custom watches in the window, its right next to the BRB.
When you go in, if they are in stock, BUY IT! They sell out fast.
They are 28- and just beautiful.
Now about the wedding. We will have our first wedding meeting with our wedding coordinator in Feb. Its just around the corner and Im FREAKING OUT just a little bit and mostly in my head.:lmao:
Thank goodness Disney Weddings handle almost everything. I am making my dress so that is my biggest thing to worry about. I am excited though. Ill keep you all posted and anyone, feel free to ask me anything.
Ill try to be as informative as I can.
Thanks for asking TooCherie!!!:wizard:

I don't know that I'll miss the Dream Squad at Disneyland. I know that they missed me though.

So true!! Of the 30+ times DBF and I went from May '08 to Dec '08 we never once got dreamed.:confused3 We saw the Dream CM's a few times but it never happened.haha:rotfl: His "dream" was to win us a stay at the Dream Suite but it was a no go.

Kinda glad it's over. It was played out. That said, in over 50 trips during the promotion we never got a sniff.

I agree--between our trips to Disneyland and Disneyworld not one dream. There were times that we never saw them at all and then you hear about people who were there for 3 days and got dreamed everyday?? Glad its over!

Oooops....we were one of those that got dreamed to the front of the line by the Dream Team....SORRY!!! but we had a great time and really made us all feel very special, which I think made our trip even better!
:cloud9:

The last visited (2007) we had FP's x 2 and lanyards x 3. We gave away the second set of FP's and the 3rd set of lanyards to other families. There are 6 of us and the kids felt that was only fair. We will miss them, it was fun.

Sigh--I love weddings. Details girl, keep us informed!

Count me in with those who won't miss them. While it's nice for those who won, and we did win nominal prizes ourselves twice, as a local resident, it always irked me that the promotion always favored those visiting from out-of-town, who of course were the ones the promotion was targeted for (plan your trip to Disney and win a prize!). Furthermore, it didn't feel particularly good to be a loser when you were frequently reminded of how many won. The one time we went there post YOMD, it was refreshing to just enjoy the park without being rubbed in our face that we didn't win any Dream Fastpasses that day or, for that matter, the Dream Suite.

I went 3-4 times a month last year and not once saw dream squad,or won anything,,not even a simple dream fastpass,,,,where the heck were they??I never saw them walking around.
