Is anyone else anxiously awaiting Oct 14?

SO happy, the nonstop PHL to MCO flights are now SOUTHWEST, not Air Tran! There are few Air Tran flights to MCO, all are with 1-2 stops.

Hoping to go for a SW weekend in mid may, wish Disney would release the dates for 2014.

So, my return date (4/12) is now open, but SW is not showing any non-stop flights for the route (MCO-DTW). Will more flights eventually open, or is there a way to find out if they scrapped the non-stop flights?

Airtran is still operating out of DTW for non stops. Hope this helps. Unsure when the take over will happen

Exact same question and same boat..

I have 3 of 4 free tickets via SW, but may still book Delta with no non-stop. I am going to wait a week and see if they come up. I cannot believe no NS is the new norm. :confused3

Currently the air tran shows 0 NS for that time I hope this will change.. but it seems to be currently 0 ..

I just booked SW Phila to LAX for my sister and I to go to Disneyland 5/2-5/7 for her and just one way for me on 5/2 since I will fly onto China on the 7th.
Round trip for my sister $279.60  I used points for my leg of the trip 7080 :woohoo:
We are thrilled! This will be my sister's first trip to DLR, my second, we will be staying at the villas at the Grand Californian. Thank you Southwest.

I always book as soon as the new fares come up because I find those are the best rates :woohoo: This morning I got round trip fares from Manchester to Orlando at 6:30 for $250, 2 hours later it was up $94 and now it is $194 more

Glad I got mine yesterday. This morning it does not look pretty, not on SW, not on any airline.

It appears as though the NS flights from MCO to DTW stop after April 8th. Had I known this, I likely would not have booked SW for my flight to MCO.

I stareted looking before they released the block, and couldn't find a fare, so I went with another airline. So glad I did - looked at SW today for MHT-MCO rt
ROFLMBO :rotfl2: I could add another person for the rate SW wants

FWIW, though - I always check flights out of Boston for travel during NH spring breaks - it's normally quite a bit cheaper, with more flights to choose from.
MA breaks are a week earlier in both Feb & April

Is nh vacation the last week is April/ first of May this year? That explains the crazy rates from Manchester to Orlando. I thought it was the week of Easter but it must be that next week.

I am wondering the same thing. I thought prices were really high for the weekend of May 3/4.

I looked up a couple of NH schools websites and looked at their calendars and it appears that the weekend of May 3/4 is the END of their vacation for many in NH. So flights from Orlando to Manchester would be high.....UGH.....

Usually this week in May is quiet, but due to Easter being so late in 2014 it's messing up my plans

Not sure about NH, but most MA schools have April vacation 4/21 - 4/25.

NH is the week following MA for the most part. It varies by district but the majority are the week following MA for both February and April vacations. We live in NH and got great fares last April by booking two one-way flights. We flew Jet Blue BOS-MCO on the way down and flew Sothwest MCO-MHT on the return. We saved over $200 a ticket that way.
