Is anybody else NOT going anywhere/working Monday?

Is anybody else not going anywhere this weekend? The Dh was going to start his vacation today but his work had a couple of big jobs come in, so he is going to help out this weekend and Monday for everybody will have the holiday off.

Now, next year, with the 4th on a Wednesday will the long holiday weekend be from Wednesday through Sunday or Friday through Wednesday?

I am going to be at a condo on the beach from tomorrow through Tuesday, but I still have to drive into work on Monday.

I have to work Monday everyone at my office put down for the day off or to be out of the office. Course they all did this when I took a sick day so I couldn't complain about it and couldn't say no before they had it on the vacation calendar. DH is most likely working all weekend and will only have the 4th off.

Plans are - Sleep late, get up and go lay on the couch and take a nap, then turn in early so I can get ready to do it again tuesday.....

We're open Monday but I have the day off. My boss asked me to take it off because I've been getting kind of gypped because I was only supposed to work part-time for the summer but I've accumulated a lot of days that I'm owed because my bosses are trying to burn their vacation before they lose it 7/1.

It's now caused sort of a mini-revolution in our office. Mainly by the one person who JUST got back from a 2 week vacation. He decided he HAD to have Monday off earlier this week. It's been on the calendar as a work day since last August--perhaps he should have asked for it off a bit earlier than the week before.

Now there's a lot of muttering about how "unfair" it is. Sheesh.

I'm working on Monday. We're not going anywhere so there was no good reason to take it off. I'm a contractor so I don't get holiday/vacation time. No sense losing a day's pay for no good reason!

Universities in our area have class on Monday, so yes, I'll be there taking notes like crazy!
