Is anybody else NOT going anywhere/working Monday?

I'm working Monday and Tuesday. We're definitely not going anywhere. My mom's out of work for the summer (she's a teacher). No idea whether or not my stepdad is working. But as the lowlife at my part time retail job (just started a week ago), I get the crappy days

As of right now, I am working on Mon, with Tues off. Our home office is closed on Mon though, so we are trying to hint to the boss...

We have no plans. July 4 is my 3 year anniversary. We'll probably see some fireworks.

I'll be working Monday. But I have a weird schedule so I'll be off at 1:30 and off on Tuesday.

For various reasons, we take our vacation times when convenient and not around national holidays.

So, I always forget about them and do something boneheaded like schedule my DD's birthday party on Memorial Day Weekend. :rolleyes1

And then I feel pathetic and insignificant when I realize that I am the *only* person not running to the Jersey Shore for the 4th of July week.

Perversely and amazingly, that makes me kind of wise, doesn't it? ;)

I'm off Monday and Tuesday and plan to just fall out this weekend. Can a person sleep for four days straight? ;)

Just a reminder  this thread is for us folks NOT going anywhere/working Monday :sad2:

I don't want to hear about naps, trips to the beach or whatever. :sad2: :)

I'm working Monday, also. My Ds, 12 will be at Boy Scout camp that week.
Who did that? Camping 4th of July week?! Geesh!
So, I guess mid-week we get to go to family day...yee haw!

Lisa

I am on call. But plan to attend a family dinner. Not going 'away' though.

No plans. Maybe we'll grill out hot dogs. We won't be free to relax until July 13th.

We're home for the weekend too--I'm glad to see so many others in the same boat. Monday's a workday for us both & DH's boss is such a ding-a-ling, he's probably forgotten about Tuesday being the 4th. I'm sure DH has Tuesday off because he's had it off every year but it'll take him having to remind the boss at 4:59pm on Monday about it. :rotfl:

Not going anywhere for the weekend and have to work on Monday. I'm swimming today after work, scrapbooking the weekend, and spending Tuesday with family (probably watch movies and grill out).

I'm off today, but work Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I took off on Tuesday mainly because the group I'm training right now all wanted off, so no sense in me being there.

I'm technically off on Monday. My wife (KAMommy) has to work so we'll both head in. I'm our firm's network geek, so a free day with nobody else working allows me to be very productive.

Not working unless someone calls me to interpret. On summer break from subbing and even if I was subbing there is no school on Monday.

Me? I don't have a day off until October.
I own a pool store and the world would stop if we had a day off. At least thats what our customers feel (boy they get angry when you take some time for yourself...) Anyway working Monday and Tuesay 8- 8...... and the 4th of july...one of our biggest sales days of the year.

The university I work at is open on Monday. In my department I think 10 of the 18 people are off on Monday. Every year my boss says she'll let us out early and early to her is like 4pm when our office closes at 5pm. Even if I wanted to my boss wouldn't let me take it off because she's thinks we already have too many people taking it off. (Which is great considering she approves the vacation days.)

I'm working on Monday, but DH is off. It's a company paid holiday for them, along with Tuesday the 4th.

I'll be stuck at stupid work while more than half my company took the day off. :stir: :furious: I do have Tuesday off but I am on call so it doesn't matter either way because I have to be close by in case I get called!

Love work! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
