I agree it's a mistake, you'd think DVC would learn the lesson at some point. Still, a limited option is better than no option.AKV is the only one and there are VERY few rooms (10?)IMHO this was an error that's going to be a problem Disney is selling this place with this benefit that's going to be next to impossible to get!
No, AKV is the only one and they only have 5 two bedroom lockoffs. Very difficult to get.
Does this mean they have only 5 Concierge Studios?
That's correct, and 5 one bedrooms.
There are up to 5 studios. There are five 2BR lockoffs so if they book one of them as a 2BR then there are only 4 studios and 4 1BRs left for those nights.Does this mean they have only 5 Concierge Studios?

I'm not sure they could at this point. They could sell the concierge access I suppose. Truth is that the lounge is generally at about the capacity it can handle from what I've seen.Perhaps once Kidani is fully open, they will change all of the Jambo DVC rooms to concierge if demand is there.
If they were to do that, I wonder if it would require them to reallocate (i.e. lessen) the total points needed for other room categories?
For example, if 10000 total points rentable include 10 concierge rooms at 40 points each (400), if they increase to 20 concierge rooms at 40 points each (800) decreasing the number of non-concierge rooms, would that mean the other rooms could only cost a total of 9200 points instead of the original 9600 points?
(way over thinking this!)
They could always establish a concierge lounge somewhere in the Kidani building, I suppose, and have some concierge rooms there.I'm not sure they could at this point. Only for non declared inventory I'd think. They could always establish a concierge lounge somewhere in the Kidani building, I suppose, and have some concierge rooms there.
Well, too many points for my liking in either case.

I could be wrong, but I believe it would be very hard for Disney to add new concierge rooms. My understanding - and, again, I could be wrong - is that Florida timeshare regulations would make it exceeding difficult. I don't believe you are supposed to allow pre-paid housing "points" to get extra goods and services that are paid for out of maintenance budgets. If you think about it, it makes sense. Disney shouldn't be able to sell extra points, then have members pay for the concierge services out of maintenance budgets. DVC only "gets away with it" at AKV due to the unique deal they struck with the lodge on costs.
