Is a trip to Goofy's kitchen worth it?

i was hoping to do dinner the night before we go to parks for some fun for my girls in October. They will be 10, 7 and a few weeks away from 3. Would this be a good experience, or would it be better to just do Minnie's or another character on a park day?

We ate at Goofy's Kitchen our departure day for breakfast, and Plaza Inn (Minnie's) our first day in the park for brunch.

i think Goofy's Kitchen would be a great way to set the mood for your trip. Get them excited for the next few day(s) in the park.

I think they were both worthwhile. It all depends on how many days you have in the park as Plaza Inn (Minnie's) will eat into 60-90 minutes of park time.

My kids love it. Ages 2 1/2, 4 1/2, 7, 9, and 11 on our last trip. Chip came by and say by my 2 yr old, handed me a knife. He took the fork and helped me cut DDs hot dog, then he fed it to her. Goofy kept putting his napkin in her head. It was March and she still talks about it. The other kids loved the interaction too. 11 yr old dd had some funny ones too.

I think if you are a fan of Disney, you need to experience every character meal at least once. They are all pretty cool in their own way, Goofy's and Plaza tend to offer the best character interaction.

If we don't have tickets for arrival day we always start with dinner at Goofy's Kitchen and I've only ever traveled to DL as a group of adults.

We so Goofys for dinner every trip, I was actually going to skip it this time since they changed to set characters but DS (8) insist on going

Kids love it. But now that my eldest is an "adult" I think we're going to skip it from now on.

We've done Goofy's, Storytellers and PCH (for breakfast) and Goofy's is my favorite. I think your kids would love it.

We were there a month ago and had Goofy's for breakfast and my daughters (ages 21 months and 3 yrs old) loved it! We got so many character interactions, autographs and darling pictures it was so worth it!! My mom, husband and I all enjoyed ourselves as well :)

I was wondering about Goofy's for 2 adults. DH is a Goofy fan but I was thinking it might be too noisy and kid oriented to have much of a fun interaction with the characters as adults. Thoughts?

Thank you all so much. I think a 5:00 dinner reservation on arrival day would be amazing. now, I'll count down to 60 day mark!

I have just done adults only trips to GK and it has been just as good as an experience as with children. It can be a bit loud but to be expected for the venue. I think you guys should totally do it, the pictures alone would be fun for you guys. We typically travel in Oct. We plan on brunch on arrival day, DTD and then the halloween party.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

I'd like to eat here some time, but it seems that some people don't think it's worth it. Curious if anyone has recently had a bad experience. Goofy is my favorite. I would be upset if I went on a day when Goofy wasn't there, as I've heard can happen.

I guess I'm in the minority here.

We started our spring break trip with a dinner at Goofy's kitchen on a Saturday night in early April. It was decently crowded, but the line for a picture with Goofy went pretty quick. It took around half an hour before we had any character interaction at our table. Every once in a while, they'd do a parade through the restaurant and have everyone wave their napkins over their heads. Then, one character stayed in our area and made their way through the tables. We stayed for a while, and only got pictures with Chip, Dale, and Minnie. My wife and I weren't terribly impressed with the food, but the kids liked it (they really got a kick out of PB&J Pizza).

I think we were disappointed, because we did the character breakfast at the Plazza Inn our previous two trips and would get a ton of character interaction, with around a dozen different characters.

You really only get to interact with Goofy right at the beginning (before you are seated) with a photo FYI. He doesn't go around to the tables (he will walk through the restaurant form time to time but doesn't usually stop, he's just going for a break) The good part is you are guaranteed a few minutes with Goofy right from the top, but I personally prefer the interactions at the table when I go to these things.

I have always gone with kids but I regularly see tables with just adults and I think they have just as much fun with it all. So many of the little kids get shy around characters I think it's fun for the characters to go up to a table where everyone is excited to see them and say hello :) It is a bit noisy and there are kids running around the buffet lines a bit but I have never felt overwhelmed by it. They have some good spaces between tables - I think in part to allow characters room to move around - so it's not wall to wall kids - haha!

We loved it but if we weren't staying at the DLH we wouldn't go out of our way to go.

Do you get a picture with Goofy by photopass? I mean I was planning on getting the one day thing and have a breakfast at Plaza Inn and dinner at Goofy so we can get the pics from Photopass, is this accurate?
