is a towncar safe?

I am traveling alone with my 2 kids and am planning to take a towncar. We have never done this before. Is it safe? I found Access Transportation for 79.00 round trip and they emailed me quickly. I can't find much info. on them. I don't like being at the mercy of a stranger. How do I know if I can trust them? I am just an overprotective mother, I guess.

I think you're right to be cautious. In your case, why not give your itinerary to a family member so someone else knows where you should be at what time. Also, make a cell phone call while driving just to confirm you made your ground connection and are on your way! I've never heard of a transportation company having issues with security, but you never know, I guess.
You can call the company and ask for their policies and who their drivers are. They should be able to email you the information.

I was the same way when I traveled last Dec with just my 10 y/o dd!!! I was very nervous since I had never traveled by myself, let alone gotten in a car with someone I don't know!! But, we used Tiffany Towncar for the third time and it was wonderful. No problems at all. So, you are being reasonably cautious. I would use a company that many have endorsed. If it costs a little extra, don't worry. Peace of mind is 'priceless'!!

I also travelled by myself and 2 young children in March. I used Happy Limo, and had great service. The driver was a little older, and even helped me watching out for my two kids. I thought the driver was wonderful. I did take the kids in with me into Albertsons, and he did find a bench for us to wait at while he brought the car around at MCO. On the return trip I had a younger driver. He was very nice too, but he did not have the added responsibitity of picking up the luggage at the bag carasoul, like the first driver did. Will use them again for sure.
