Is a ten-day pass good enough?!!

Hi everyone,

We are visiting WDW for the first time this year and will be staying for three weeks at one of the Disney resort hotels. We have been offered a ten-day pass by our travel agent here in the UK and I hear a lot of talk about the ten-day pass.

We will be visiting attractions elsewhere in Orland too. If we get a ten-day pass, that'll give us 11 days left for everything else. I am not sure if there are 11 places I want to see outside of Disney.

My question is this - is a ten day pass long enough for the Disney parks? What other attractions are "a must visit" outside of Disney. I want to go to Sea World, Discovery Cove, the space centre and Busch Gardens. What else do I need to see?

Or, actually, am I overdoing it!!!

Many thanks.

The ten day pass is good value for money but I'm sure you're soon to be inundated with posts advising you of the 30 day Fun In The Sun pass. It is not much more expensive than the 10 day pass but gives you the added days and some other attractions outside WDW. I'm sure someone will be on very soon to give you full details.

Quite right!
So here goes...
The Fun in the Sun pass is $310 (Paramount International travel) or a little cheaper from Ticketmania I believe. We've used them twice now and they are much better value than the 10 day world pass, especially with the exchange rate currently at $1.836.
It's valid for 30 days from the first day of use. It gives you complete access to all Disney parks, including water parks. Also free access to Kennedy Space Centre and somewhere down in Miami, can't remember where. You also get the free character breakfast like the 10 day world pass. You do have to pay for parking at the parks, but I think you'll get that free as you are staying on site.
There is no info on Paramount's web site, you have to e-mail them direct. At the moment the current tickets expire at the end of May (I think!), but new vouchers will hopefully become available in the not too distant future. If you want the e-mail address let me know and I'll PM you. (you can't post it on I've been told...)
Hope this helps,
Ian

You could also consider annual passes. With the current exchange rate being so good for us Brits you might find that buying an annual pass with dollars gives you better value for money than buying a 10-day pass in pounds.

Regards

Rob
