For two adults, 2 children w/car seats, stroller and luggage for 10 days? WE are renting through national and that is the intermediate car.

We have taken a Grand Am often because the trunk is nice and big and we are bad packers LOL. The backseat is roomy but not sure about car seats. If you arent' an Emerald Aisle member I would join. Then you can chose the car when you get there.

The Grand Am is considered a midsize car. I am not sure how much luggage you will be bringing but depending on the amount of luggage it may be a tight squeeze. Are you a member of the Emerald Club? You can join for free through the Disney Club or I think a Credit Card company is allowing free memberships. If so, you can rent a full size for the same price as an intermediate. Something to consider...

When we rented through National, we got an intermediate. The only vehicles available were the Chevy Malibu or Alero.
We took the Malibu because it was bigger (not by much though)

We were able to fit one large suitcase and two carry-ons in the trunk,
with just a little bit more to spare.

With the amount of stuff you are bringing you may want to upgrade to
a bigger car. I believe the next level is called Premium.

A four door Grand Am may make it easier, but it will be tight. You may be able to fit the stroller or a suitcase into the back seat with the car seats. I wouldn't count on fitting more than 2 suitcases in the trunk. Why not slip a bungee cord in your carryon to help out if the trunk won't close? It will only be uncomfortable to and from the airport.:)

Depending on how much luggage you will be taking for those 10 days, and the size/type stollers you are taking it might work. If they are umbrella strollers and just 2 large suitcases and maybe one small one I think it would work. If it is the regular kind of strollers with 2 large suitcases and 1 small, I am not so sure it would work. You may want to try for a fullsize car and pray for a large trunk. If you can get an Impala they seem to have fairly large trunks, but that is a fullsize.

I own a Grand Am (which I love) but personally I think it would be way to cramped for your trip. I would spend extra and go for something larger and ride in comfort.

Well I think I just joined Emerald Isle (through the small business link on the site) at which point I hope to get a full size, we will be picking up in West Palm Beach so maybe there will be a some different cars available then in Orlando. We have a Surburban and a Camry at home so as long as the trunk was a big as the Camrys we would probably be okay as we have been able to fit our stroller and bags in there many times. Thanks for all you help.

I think that we had a Grand Am when we were there this past December and we are a family of 4 with to car seats and a side by side double stroller. We had 4 suitcases and a duffle bag.

I'm glad to say we fit it all!!! The trunk was pretty big and then we had to put a couple things by the kids feet.

Good luck in whatever you end up getting!

By the way, I think National considers the Malibu a Full Size! (I don't, but they did not ask me!)

I think you will struggle to fit everything in a Grand Am or any other mid size. If you joined EC make the reservation for a full size with Emerald Aisle service. I think the rate for a full size is usually the same as mid size (or just a couple dollars more). If there is something bigger on EA you can take it. However, you are only guaranteed what you reserve so I make the ressie for a full size. That is what we have done for our Nov trip. Myself, DW, DD, DS, 9 days, double stroller and luggage.
