I may be over-thinking this. Does the scenario below sound familiar to anyone here?

have current DAS that we can’t renew until early in June for upcoming 4th of July trip (that trip for myself, DH & GD)

later that month, we will be offsite with my entire brood…a total of 7 people.

believe that is at least “one too many“ on the same DAS

here’s where it gets tricky...

one of the adult family members was able to get a DAS for themselves last December. They will be asking for the accommodation again this trip.

All are in each other’s F&F. 3 are APH, 1 will only be visiting the parks 2 days & all will be able to PH.

Should we just plan on putting some of the guests on one DAS & the rest on the other (once that person calls in to request a renewal 30 days out?)

Assume we should avoid having the same people ‘cross-registered’ on both DAS passes.

however, there is a good chance all people won’t necessarily be in the park at the same time during the trip. Especially, if all decide to PH later in the day or the DAS members run out of steam.

Not sure how that would affect the guests on that person’s DAS…assume, they couldn’t ride with those that are there on the other DAS.o_O

just don’t want to break any rules and have an idea of what past precedence has been in this sort of situation before I do speak to GS re the upcoming request.

If you want to, you can have the one person have their DAS, and put everyone else on the DAS from your group. You can have people added as they arrive to WDW, just go to Guest Services at the park when they go for their first day with you. If they want to be on the other person's DAS, they go to guest services and have that done as well. The two people with DAS can't be on each other's, so both will have to book a return time.

Not sure how any of this affects the extra online registration DAS - I think your whole group has to be in MDE somehow, and they might not be able to book the ones for the people who are not there the entire time?

Does the total count of 7 include both you and the other family member with DAS? If so, you are fine because it’s only 5 non-DAS. Each DAS-holder must get a Return Time with their own DAS, cannot be included as party on another DAS. Then split the remaining 5 as appropriate for who is in the park and who is riding.

Yes. If access is granted again, it would be 2 (out of the 7 in our family) with their ownDAS

Not sure I’m following you correctly here though…

Do you mean each DAS holder should then both list the same other 5 family members (but not the other DAS guest) in their group?

I’m talking for the advance 2 selections per day

For the 2 Advanced Selections they may split your party, but regardless each of the 7 can only have 2 Advanced Selection rides -- no doubling up to 4 because there are 2 DAS.

Day-of DAS Return Times you can probably have all 5 listed on each DAS, but any individual can only have 1 active at a time even if the DAS-holders choose different rides.
