Is a conversation the same as private messaging someone

Just wondering how i would private message someone. Is a conversation the same as a private message. I cannot find where private message is on my profile page.

Yes, conversation is the same as a private message. Up at the top right you should see your user name, Inbox, and Alerts. Click on Inbox and you should be able to create a message from there. You can also click on the user's name you are looking to chat with and in a box with a description about them is a link to start conversation. You can try with me if you'd like to test it out first.
