Is A Bug's Life open?

A co-worker that was in Disney last month told me that this was closed down for refurb, but I don't see it on the closed lists on Mousesavers right now.

Was anyone just there that knows it is up and running?

My nephew has this on his must do list for our May 3rd trip

Stitch Kingdom does not show that on the refurbs list for that date.

Last time I saw it, it was different. No Hopper in there and his part had been edited out of the show.

I don't know if it is open or not or if that was temporary or what.

We saw ITTBAB Tues, 4/5. Now that you mention it, there was no Hopper.

We saw It's Tough to be a Bug on March 22. Hopper was in the show. I loved it, by the way, and we would have got back in line to do it again if my 8 year old dd hadn't nearly been in hysterics...when the hornets started stinging and the spiders dropped down she stood up and started to cry, I nearly had to take her out...

But anyway, to answer the OP's question, it was up and fully running on March 22.

What NO HOPPER???????? He must have been taking sometime off for some "maintenence". I can't imagine ITTBAB without Hopper. I hope that is all anyway. ITTBAB is always a must do at AK for us, when we were there in Sept and Nov Hopper was there both times last year.

Hopper wasn't working when we saw it in October, so maybe he need to go out to the bug hospitol for a while. Hope he is back for out trip in May.

Saw the show March 27. Pretty sure Hopper was there. Although now that i think about it I can't recall if the animatronic was shown or if it was just Hopper on the screen. But the spiders and the bug spray all still happened. I believe a long tongue was still involved also. SNAP.

The one I saw, Hoppers whole part was cut. He didn't even show up on the screen.

I know its open since my brother and his family are there this week and my 5 yo niece loved it. I didnt ask if hopper was there or not but I do know that the show is open.

hopper is such an awesome animatronic. i wish we had gone through it again so i could have really appreciated him. flick on the other hand needs some water in his eyes! he looked broken.

November trip - saw it twice. First time, Hopper AA not there. Second time, Hopper AA was there.
Beginning of March trip - saw it once, no Hopper AA.

I think Hopper is having issues and maybe he is being repaired.

Yes. Hopper is nearly the largest and most complex of the WDW Audio Animatronics.

(The poor Yeti at EE is so honored, but that's a whole other story.)

They can run ITtBaB with or with Hopper, depending on his "condition" that day.

We were at the AK on March 17th and Hopper was in good form!

i heard from a higher up in disney that hopper is having bad problems with the booze and maybe the days yall were there he was on a bad bender and was "sick" hehehehehe maybe it really is tough to be a bug

My word! I can just imagine Hopper jumping out at the end of Everest. Maybe that's their plan for the current refurb!
