Is 6 years too young to enjoy DC?

We'll be in Orlando for 2 days before heading to the beach in June. We've been to WDW so much, that I think it's time to try something new. Sea World and Discovery Cove look great. It will be me and DD9 and DS who will be close to 6. I'm wondering if that's going to be too young for the dolphin experience. He loves to be in the water and puts his head under and tries to swim, has had a few swimming lessons, but does not swim. He is on the taller side for his age. He loves marine animals and will spend lots of time watching the fish when we go to the aquarium in town. DD9 is a decent swimmer and begging to go to DC. Should we wait a couple years for DS to be older? Will he be able to reach in the water or am I going to be stuck carrying him around all the time? Has anyone taken a child this age and how did it go?
Thanks!!

My DD was 6 when we took her and she absolutely loved it :) She is confident in the water (better swimmer than me :p ) and was more than happy to do the deep water pull - as long as she could wear her swimming goggles. DH did have to hold her in the water for the dolphin experience as she was a fraction too short to reach the bottom

She snorkelled & went round the tropical river several times but wouldn't go in the ray lagoon.
