DS and I are traveling to DW dec 4 arriving in the evening to dec 9th leaving in the evening.

Right now we are starting a CSR. I am not entirely excited about staying there for some reason. I thought perhaps we would split the nights up. Stay the night of the 4th, 5th and 6th at some place close to MK. The Poly has aviailable rooms and then stay the other nights at CSR. For the 4-6th I can find several places to stay the Beach Club, Contemp. for example. It is the weekend that is booked up pretty much everywhere. I would like to stay as close to MK as I can so we can go there when we arrive the first night for a bit. We will be getting to the hotel by about 8pm. I know my son would love to go for at least an hour. Any suggestions about resorts. Wilderness Lodge is book for those days.

I'd do it! You'll enjoy the Poly. And maybe, maybe pixiedust: once you've checked om at the Poly, there might be a cancellation at the Poly for the other nights and you could just stay there.

there is a big price difference between CSR, moderate, vs the deluxe - Polyn, Cont, bc.

that say if you want the MK stay at either Polyn or CR - both are close. the online reservation system has a problem with WL. Sometimes it say it is completely full - then a few minutes later it has rooms in all catalogues - makes no sense what so ever.

so if WL is your first choice - don't give up.

Pretty sure that the resorts are filled up - because WDW is filming that weekend for the Christmas show. I personally would avoid it.

what days are they filming?

IMO, CSR is a beautiful resort to stay at. Maybe you haven't gotten enough info. about CSR to have you excited about staying there?? IF not, i would check out the CSR resort thread and Buzz's website on it, you will find lots of useful information/pictures on both. Personally, I'd be excited to be staying anywhere on Disney property, whether it be in one of Minnie's shoeboxes or any of the hotels!! :lmao: Anyway, whichever you decide to do, have a great trip and enjoy the magic of Disney!! :wizard:
