Is 4 park days enough?

Coming from the east coast and semi frequent WDW visitors- we had originally planned on five park days but our flights were just changed coming in way too late for my college daughter to feel good about her Monday morning classes… so now we are looking at four park days or moving the entire trip from March to late May which I really would rather not do.

Do you feel four days is sufficient to tour both parks pretty fully?

There will always be more to see, but 4 days is adequate to see a lot. Remember it's not a tiny WDW, so there's a lot of differences that will take some getting used to! When I went to WDW for the first time this summer, I kept wondering why the heck they moved this ride or that ride, and had to remind myself that they are different parks, siblings but not twins.

I agree 4 days would be plenty. That said...if you would have time to get into the parks on one of your travel days you could do a 5 day hopper. We've done that before, even if the first or last day is just for a few hours. There's only a $20 difference in the 4/5 day hoppers.

Depends on how many rides and restaurants are must dos. It wouldn't be enough for me but we only come every 8 - 10 years, we are old, and we like to take our time. I want to ride certain rides, eat at certain restaurants, watch certain shows and wander around so I plan 2 days per park. If we came more often I prob wouldn't need as much time.
Make a list of your need to do things and see if you can fit it all in (not forgetting wait times).

I just came back from Disneyland a few weeks ago. I was there 6 days and had a 5 day park hopper ticket. While I was there the Oogie Boogie Bash was going on so California Adventure park closed at 6:00 p.m. quite a few days. And honestly 4 days would have been plenty. I am older and kind of move at my own pace but I rode several of my favorite rides more than once or twice. I went on the Haunted Mansion 5 times because I enjoyed the Nightmare before Christmas overlay. I went solo so I took advantage of the single rider lane at Radiator Springs and rode that 4 times. My 5th park day I slept in went over to the Disneyland park and just enjoyed my last day rode on a few things 1 last time and stayed for the projection show on the Castle.

We did park hoppers on our trip in September (during the time of the Oogie Boogie Bash). We normally love park hopping but barely used it because right now you can't hop until after 1pm. We did breaks most days and were ready by that one oclock mark or earlier so we could come back refreshed. The hopping was a waste of money this trip. Certainly not worth the $200+ we paid for it. If they change it to allow you to hop whenever you want I would probably do it but with reservations I don't see them changing it. Four days should be plenty of time even with breaks if you want them. It is pretty critical to get there early and be able to stay late if you want shorter lines. From 11ish to after the evening show it's crowded with longer lines. If you are sensitive to sun exposure plan on rides during the day that don't have big exterior lines.
