I've never taken a cruise before. is it too risky to fly back home at 12;30pm the day of disembark?
The cruise is in the Miami port and I am flying in from Canada. I would use the express line to leave the ship.

I wouldn't think it's too early. The airport in Miami is much closer to the port than MCO/Port Canaveral is.

Thank you for the replies! Approx what time does everyone get off the boat if I opt not to do express line?

It should be fine if you leave the ship promptly in the morning and you're flying out from the Miami airport (MIA). That airport is quite close to the cruise port.

The Fort Lauderdale airport (FLL) is about 45 minutes to an hour away.

I believe it depends on when U.S. Customs clears the ship - so the time can vary some. On our last MIA cruise, it was 7:30 am and we were at the airport before 8:00 am.

One thing to keep in mind is that the lines at the airport can be long in Miami - you will be fine on time - but I would recommend the express/self-disembarkation just to be safe.
