I know, I know, I wouldn't even be going if my daughter had not won a ticket through their Read to Succeed program.

So we have her free ticket/voucher and we have a code to use online to get mine at a discount to take her. I go online to check it out, 34.99, not bad. Then I see that for $5 I can have it mailed to me (all of an hour away) and even better for $3 I can print it at home! Now is it just me or is that ridiculous? Charge me $3 to print it at home using my printer, ink and paper???? I know it is just $3 but it is the principle. I find it insane! They nickel and dime so badly in this park and now this? I sent them an email, sure it won't do any good but I just had to vent to them about it.

Gosh I love Disney!

They did the same thing this year for annual passes online. Please pay $3 for to print out your own ticket at home!! They get you any way they can! this year annual parking was $60!

Yes, I agree. Our annual parking went from $20 to $45 in just a couple years that we didn't go. Of course the AP's were only $99 and includes Hurricane Harbor, the water park.
Last time we went to activate our passes, we kept saying we should just go to WDW.
Also their idea of a parade is so lame they should just give up. It's embarassing.

I believe even ticketmaster charges to print at home.

They did this to me on the free tickets I got through My Coke Rewards, but they don't tell you about the fee until you use the points already. I felt the same way- $3.00 to use my own printer! Principalities people! On a more positive note, when I redeemed a second ticket they let me use my own printer for free.:woohoo: So off we drive for 4 hours only to get on 2 rides before they close due to the weather(I know they can't help that part, but still).:headache: I'm with you- Six Flags is no Disney.;)

I wish I had done the $3 option to print at home. I thought that was ridiculous to charge me for me to print them. BUT
I ordered them a week and a half ago and paid $5 for them to ship them, and the tickets haven't arrived yet! Atlanta to Birmingham isn't that far. I hope they come soon. the email says it could take 2 weeks. Iguess it will.

I was afraid my printer would act up while printing them.

Anyway. Have a good trip!

next time, call them to order them. They don't charge you shipping at all.

They wrote me back. Whether I was aware or not is not the issue. I would just love to hear how they justify charging ME to print the tickets on MY printer with MY supplies!

I have forwarded your comments to our Senior Park Management. Thank you
for your feedback, and we apologize that you were not aware of the
printing costs. We will look into the issue.

Thank you for your input. It is guests like you that improve the park
for all of our guests.

I hope you have a thrilling visit!

Curious to see if I hear from anyone higher up.

I traded in my Coke points for a free ticket and I didn't have to pay anything to print them! This was for Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Perhaps it is different for different parks.

I believe AAA sells Six Flags tickets for $32 if anyone is interested. I am using the coke cans this year, will get tickets at the gate.

Thanks for the tip. I could do that instead of getting the ticket off of my dd's voucher. It is even a better discount.

What does "using the coke cans" mean?? Is there a discount when you drink Coke??

I have a coke can that gives me 15 dollars off at the gate :)

Go check out the "meal tickets" if you want to get frustrated. The idea is great....pay for a meal/snack for a teen or yourself ahead of the trip.
The cost is HORRIFIC!!!

and don't showu p with any snacks on you to bring in--never mind lunch or a cooler. At six flags new england they search you and if you have so much as a water bottle they confiscate it. You should see the food and drink piled up at the admission gate!! Awful!!!

We live about 1/2 hour from Six Flags New England and I have to tell you that we will probably never go there again.

They do nickle and dime you and the service is lousy. They even charge something like $15 to park.

We went last time with a group of about 7 families with kids. Well....we had to wait OVER an hour in line just to get in the place...and we were the first ones there at opening. We were all on different lines, but had the same discount coupons. Every single family wound up paying a different admission price!!! It was ridiculous. Tryng to straighten it out would have taken up half our day. They were more concerned with whether people had water bottles with them!!

Now we go to Lake Compounce in CT...a nice amusement park where parking is free and they give you free drinks all day.

IMO - SIX FLAGS is not worth it. I'd rather save the money for Disney Passes.....even my 3 kids agree...and all their friends go.

Once you've been to Disney...a lot of other places just don't compare.

Yes this is Six Flags NE we are going to. I am only going because she earned the free ticket and I told her I would take her and one of her friends. Last time we went it was horrible. Crowds were huge (we went in August, never again) and we couldn't get over the sky high rip offs on everything. What kills me is their Flash Pass. Not only have you paid through the nose to get in, park and eat now you pay some crazy amount for a Flash Pass and even more for a Gold/Premium on. Come on.

I saw on their website that for something like $250 you can have a VIP tour guide too. For what? Give me Disney anyday. I am only an hour from Six Flags NE, wish I were only an hour from Orlando.

Now that Disney is fresh in our minds I know that it is going to be even worse. Add that to the fact that my thrill ride lovin' 57 inch tall girl invited her shortest friend to come with us. She isn't tall enough for most anything and I told my dd if her friend can't ride, no one rides as I won't let her on something like Superman alone (she is 9) and I won't leave her friend to wait while we go on it (she is my responsibility and also is 9). So it might be a short day with the limited number of things we can ride.

I am dreading this already. We are going June 19.

And they won't even let you bring in water????? That is awful. Chalk another one up for the Mouse.

The coke cans here in NY/NJ have a Buy one Get one Free on a weekday and I believe $20 off on the weekend.

That is why we leave our cooler in the car!
