Iron on Vinyl

Has anyone used this on fabric -- I'm making a FE and I have blue'ish Mickey Mouse. In using iron on transfers, I bought the LIGHT fabric kind and it works well on the white and yellow that I wanted to use originally. So I was thinking of using vinyl so it won't be transparent...

Any advice on using the vinyl?
