Does anybody know if there is a type of transfer paper (for ironing onto a T-shirt) that can be printed on with a laser printer instead of an ink jet printer? :confused3

Anyone know? I've wondered the same thing myself, as all I have access to are laser printers.

PLEASE NOTE: After having researched this extensively (noone here seemed to have a difinitive answer), iron-on transfers for laser printers need to be applied with a HEAT PRESS. Since these tend to be more expensive than buying a brand new ink jet printer, you might want to go with the ink jet variety and borrow someone else's printer or buy your own. Tulip brand makes Photo Transfer Paper for laser printers that can be ironed on, but this is only for white T-shirts, and I haven't tried it yet. I'm so bummed because my laser printer prints beautiful pictures and I can't use it for shirts! :sad1:

I don't recommend them.

I bought some at Hobby Lobby in Aug. It got stuck in my printer (I guess because of the heat a laser printer puts out). Luckily my DH was able to umscrew the plastic panel & I peeled it off with no damage to the machine.

So I took the package to Staples & asked if they could run it in their color copier. They did. It looked great, but when I ironed them on the t-shirts the images were very faded & fuzzy looking.

I followed the directions on the package very precisely.

Thanks Melani. I think maybe I'll just borrow my cousin's ink jet printer. ;)
