Have you ever known someone in real life and then seen embarrassing posts from them on message boards? This guy worked with my husband and his wife has posted all kinds of personal info on a message board--she thinks he's having an affair, she hates his family, etc. Then the husband posted all kinds of inappropriate stuff, too. I did not realize who she was until she had already written a bunch of this stuff, so it's too late to "out" myself now. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I plan to just keep on pretending to not know who she is--she obviously does not know who I am.
On the flip side, I "met" a woman on another board who is married to a guy that I worked with in college and we have become good friends. I just think it is funny how the 'net has made the world truly smaller.
