BOXTY

CE'AD MILE FA'ILTE

PO'G MO THO'IN

SHILLELAGH

That's an instrument, isn't it? I dunno...I'm not Irish (except for today, of course :thumbsup2 )

hmmmm, I saw Erin Go braugh a couple of times.

Don't have a clue :confused3

I'd love to send an email to my circle of friends, got the answers so I can paste, etc.

I'll take this one: KISS ME I'M IRISH!!!

And I'll give another: MAIRTEOIL SHAILLTE AGUS CAL

I thought a Shillelagh was a coin. I've got a beautiful necklace my dad gave me many years ago. It's an enameled coin and it's been called a Shillelagh by several people.

My irish is showing today...the necklace from dad, my claddagh earrings from Mom. Today always made me think of dad, now I'm missing mom and the corned beef and cabbage dinner.

Coin in Irish is BONN
Necklace is MUINCE

A SHILLELAGH is actually a weapon or fighting stick--It got it's name from the Shillelagh Forest in County Wicklow where the wood to make them was from==Today however Shillelagh is synonomous with cane(BETA) or walking stick(BETA SIU'IL)

I know a couple, particicularly the last one. But I refuse to post what it means!
