Can you use it for a recpetion at the St. Jame room or at Flying Fish?

I'm still kind of torn about renting out one of these two places for our reception brunch/lunch and if we do i'd want music. Do you girls know how much they'd charge? And how does it work? Do you give your Wedding planner a list of songs you want?

I'm just trying to figure out if it would be worth it for us to rent one of those facilities or if we should jsut change and meet everyone for lunch in one of the parks.

Thanks girls!

Oh, I am interested in this too!!

Most restaurants have a sound system, so I wonder if you could just hook up an ipod or play a CD in an existing sound system that the flying fish may have. Except now that I think of it, I cannot remember music playing in any of the disney restaurants??? (I was probably too into my food)

Disney does have a system you can rent and hook up an iPod. However, it is "DIY"... it's your iPod that you use. You do all the programming, song lists, etc. The system they rent has a small mixer and amp/speaker setup- hook your iPod right into it.

For something more than just a pre-programmed playlist (announcements, song suggestions, entertainment ideas, MC duties, etc.) -a DJ can guide you in the right direction. For a shorter, small lunch with no announcements or formal dances, the iPod setup would do just fine!

If you have a Wishes Dessert Party, would you be able to pipe your Ipod's music in until wishes started? If not, is it just silent until wishes begins?
Thanks :)

If you're already paying to have them set up a sound system to pipe in Wishes' soundtrack, I don't see why you couldn't give the sound tech your ipod to use before the show started. If you're not doing the soundtrack, you would either have to pay to have a setup (and at that point, you may as well have Wishes piped in!) or bring your own portable stereo and have someone in your group run it.

It varies by location, starting at around $250 and going up to $800 or more.
