older dd got an iPOD a few months ago, and I instaled the software, etc.
someone gave younger dd an "old" iPOD last week -- it's about 2 1/2 years old, never used. when she tried to download songs from my computer, the one older dd uses for her iPOD, she got an error message that the software hadn't been updated, but she was unable to update the software.
we're not exactly techies at our house, so I don't know if the iPOD can't be updated or if she just couldn't figure out how to do it.
is this iPOD salvageable? and if so, how do I fix the problem?
