iPod dock/speakers-what kind do you have?

DS has his iPod connected to cheap computer speakers. We want to get him a better docking system, but I am not sure what kind to get him. This one looks really neat but I am curious to the speaker quality.

I have the Altec Lansing "inMotion" ones and they are fine for the price --easy for me to pack. But I want better ones for Christmas -- are you listening Santa???

hey auntpolly-I was originally looking at a altec lansing model, but it was not the "in motion" one. Are you happy with it? Isn't the one you have more portable?

The sound isn't spectacular but it is great for packing. So nice to have when I'm traveling! And it charges the IPOD too, and serves as speakers for my DVD player, so actually I love them.

I think the ones I want are Bose, but I'd continue to travel with the inMotion ones because they flatten down to practically nothing and I really need the space in the suitcase.

the inmotion im9's sound pretty good. the iBoom looks pretty cool, but I haven't heard it yet. the Bose sound dock is about the best I've heard so far.

but they're all limited by the quality of the mp3's you're playing.

I have the Bose speaker and it ROCKS!!!!
