If you got an Iphone tell me about it. Are you happy with it? Is it worth the extra expense? What are the negatives.

My husband just got his this weekend and he loves it.He had the one from lg that pretty much looked the same but it really wasn't.He got that one because we had Verizon but now at his job he didn't get service(they moved buildings)He is so happy with it he was willing to take the early termination fee from Verizon.my dd was playing with the light saber sound effects that dh downloaded onto it all weekend.I have a simple razor that is fine for me cause I don't use my cell phone much but if you like having the internet and music and games it is worth it.

I've had my iPhone since they first came out and I LOVE it. Everything is so easy: texting, getting on the internet, getting directions, chatting, listening to music, etc. It's AWESOME!! It's more like a personal computer than just a phone.

I have an original iPhone (not the 3G). I love it. I THINK there was just another thread on this so you may find more opinions there.

The data plan cost of the new iPhone is a little steep ($30 with no texts included) - I'm not sure if I'd pay that on top of however many minutes you pay for. The only other negative I've found is no MMS - all multi media has to be emailed to your phone, so that's kind of a pain.

But I love the app store, and have downloaded a bunch of cool stuff.

I don't use the phone for business stuff, mostly fun stuff - so I can't really speak to it's full capabilities.

I'd say go to an AT&T store and play with one. :thumbsup2

I love my iPhone. I also have the old original 4gb. Even with many music videos, lots of songs, a few half-hour kids programs and more apps (applications) than a grown person should own, I have 1 gb left (for more apps.) My only complaints about the phone are the MMS mentioned, no video, and the poor camera. While an ok quality, it doesn't zoom at all. I love using the maps, the internet just about anywhere, and the built-in iPod along with the regular phone use.

I love mine also! The ability to search for a location and tell the phone to drop a pin to your current location for directions is great. I also like that I can see the entire string of texts for any conversation with each person. I wish there was a copy/paste ability, but maybe soon. I do like the screen print you can do, though. It's just fun to play with and so user friendly.

My iphone has literally changed the way I live! I love it! It has everything on it that I used to carry separately...and more!

I love the fact that it is so easy to program and use....to have a:

phone
calendar
calculator
address book
camera (which doesn't zoom, but the pictures are pretty good for a camera phone)
internet access
constantly updated email
movies
slideshow pictures
music
directions
weather
stock updates

all in one place...it is fabulous!

My dh has a sidekick and that is SO much harder to manipulate....

I use my iphone for work, home, in the car, everywhere!

You forgot the really cool games. It's so neat the way you move by turning the phone or moving it forward or backward.

I like the scientific calculator on it also.

The remote app is really good.

Yeah...I'm still working on the games thing. I have one of the originals, but my friend updated it for me...so I have all the "Apps" stuff on it now too and can sync it with by MacBook, etc.

I've never used it for games...can you make an recommendations for games that I should download (things a 30 something woman would like).

Also, to the OP, I've been known to pop the headphones on my dd3 on airplanes and let her watch Arthur on it (and I've done the same thing with movies). It is so nice to have something like that in your purse that you can just pull out in a pinch to keep a bored child happy!

(not that watching videos is the only way to do this....but in a pinch, it is great!)

Can I get by with the smaller hard drive? I don't plan on putting tons of movies on it and I"ll still use my little ipod for most of my music because it's better for at the gym. Will I quickly regret not spending the extra hundred bucks?

Nope. I don't have one of the newer phones. I have no problems with mine and I do have music and pictures on mine.

Hi, Emma'smom. I will look at mine in a bit. I'm charging it now. I do play Tris (like tetris) and ChimpsLite. I will have to look at the names of the others.

I bought Crash Bandicoot racing because I love Mario Kart on the Wii. It's a similar game. I also have a fun solitaire game and suduko. For my DD2, I downloaded a preschool game, bubbles and bubble wrap. I also got the iGotchi. It's supposed to be like a virtual pet. Since I don't play with it often, I'm always being called a bad parent. There is a Disney card game I was thinking of buying for me and the kids.

how much space do the downloads/apps use? Would you get rid of your ipod because of your iphone?

Hey I found yours lol :) hehe I am not quiet sure how much but it is very little cause i have 5 already on mine and the color of app on mine is green and u can not see the green at all when I plug in my iphone to upload it or whatever so it has to be little but dont quote me on it I mean I just am still learnging it lol :)

I bought my iPhone last week and really enjoy it. After I bought it, I cancelled my land line, so I will actually be saving money even with the extra iPhone data package costs. The iPhone is easy and fun to use.

OOh, and I forgot the best part! There are 2 Disney park apps available - a Magic Kingdgom map and an Epcot map. (Actually, I think there are Disneyland and California Adventure maps, too...) It tells you where the rides and restaurants are, as well as the locations of the bathrooms. Not that we all don't KNOW that already, lol, but they are fun to play around with anyway!
