iPhone insurance?

I have my iPhone insurance through Verizon for $10 a month and the company is Asurron. I am reading all terrible reviews on this company.
I am thinking to cancel. Does anyone have iPhone insurance advice?

I got mine through Squaretrade. Never used it so I can't speak for how good they are, but the reviews online sound good.
***BTW they sent me a 35% off online coupon code, don't know if it is transferrable but you're welcome to have it should you need it.

I've looked into it and I'm not happy with any option-

1) Insure through verizon for $10- not a great company as you found out, more expensive but it covers LOSS, theft, and damage

2) Insure through Squaretrade (damage only- cheapest option)

3) Insure through GoCare or Worth Ave Group (covers theft and damage only but cheaper than insuring through Verizon)

Let me know what you decide- the insurance question is the only thing stopping me from getting an Iphone "yesterday" (I have a 3+ year old Blackberry)

From reading all the horrible stories online on Asurron I am going to
Cancel them. I could not find one good post.

For me the phone is over 30 days so square trade is out.
The reviews are favorable for gocare so still thinking about that.

I have used Asurion for years and they have been great to deal with. But they aren't worth it when it comes to the iPhone.

Squartrade as previously mentioned or AppleCare PLUS are the two best bets for the iPhone. I like AppleCare+ over SquareTrade because you will also have tech support with that package. But I believe you need to purchase AppleCare+ when you buy the phone.

SquareTrade gives you essentially the same warranty without the tech support.
