iPhone...Anything you don't like?

Battery life... but there are things you can do to get around that - close your "3G search" or something like that, just activate it if you need to get online. I love playing Uno and tetris on my iphone!

One thing that an iPhone won't do is receive MMS (multimedia) messages. So if you have friends that like to send you pics and other things, you won't be able to get them unless it's via email.
This is my biggest complaint.
So, if I want to send a picture to someone, I need to do it through an e-mail instead of through a text message, right? And, if someone wants to send me a picture, it has to be through an e-mail too, right? That doesn't seem like a big deal - Just something I'd have to get used to. I'm not eligible for an upgrade for a few months...It would be nice if I could get one early! ;)
It's a pain in the rump if you're not sending to another IPhone.

All in all, I love my phone. It's user friendly and the Apps are great.

Download MMS Rescue. Not a perfect solution...but works pretty well.

edit: I posted the reply before I read some other posters' complaints about MMS messages.

Again, download the app MMS Rescue. It allows you to "grab" the message you recieve...you know the annoying "You have recieve a multimedia message". The app takes that message and converts the picture. It's actually pretty cool...kinda slow but cool.

I also use Quip when I want to SEND picture messages. The main problem with Quip is that the person RECEIVING the picture message has to have a internet capable phone to view it.

My boyfriend has an iPhone. The battery dies quickly. Not being able to receive picture text messages has been changed in the new models, I believe. You can send them as emails instead, but it can be annoying.

I can't text on his phone very easily, the keyboard is pretty tiny IMO. I don't know how he types on it so quickly, other than that he uses it all the time, and I only use it now and then.

The lack of MMS is also my biggest gripe.

I read today that MMS will begin to roll out Sept 25.

Mashable, I think.

RadioNate is 100% correct. AT&T will update the iPhone to support MMS on September 25th. There is an article on tuaw.com for those interested in reading the release statement.
Other than not having MMS currently, I have no complaints with my iPhone.
And just beating a dead horse here, as I post in all my comments about the iPhone, make sure that you have a nice strong case for it. Not one of the silicone sleeves, something that is hard and impact resistant. Only because no matter how careful you are, you are probably going to drop it in a parking lot somewhere.

WOO HOO!!! The DH agreed to an iPhone! :yay: I think he agreed just to get me to shut my trap, but that's good enough for me! ;) Anyways, after all of that, I checked with AT&T, and we're not eligible for an upgrade until May.....MAY!!! :sad1: Oh well, I'm trying to tell myself that a new version will come out between now and then. Until then, I'm going to figure out which apps I need! Thanks for all the advice! :thumbsup2

Wait until about June. There will be a new version around that time next year assuming they stick with the current cycle.

June....Oh no!!! We leave for Disney on 6/5.....Should I go for the older version and have it to take to Disney or wait until I get back? {{sigh}} Decisions, decisions!

My iPhone is perfect. :cloud9:

My only "wish" is that it could do the grocery shopping, make dinner, walk the dogs and read my mind.

;)

I was coming to post about the Sept 25 date for MMS but I see you guys beat me to it! :thumbsup2

edited: oops. Too late. LOL

Suppposedly after September 25th we will be allowed to send MMS messages. I will believe it when I see it.

Here is a quick article:

AT&T: iPhone MMS messaging coming Sept. 25
Well, the wait for MMS multimedia messaging on the iPhone is finally coming to an end.

AT&T said today that the feature, which has been a glaring omission on the iPhone 3G and new 3GS, will arrive on Sept. 25. It's not quite the "late summer" launch that AT&T promised but we'll take it.

Why the delay? Well, AT&T said earlier that it was because the company was "finalizing internal system upgrades." Other has speculated that AT&T is just overwhelmed with data traffic on the iPhone and is racing to catch up to it.

At any rate, it's nice to see that it's finally almost here. Now what about that iPhone tethering promise?
