iPhone 5 case

DH is super hard on his phones. i am looking to get him a good case that will help prevent damage. I have read a little about life proof cases but was wondering if they work well for the money. Also there seems to be many versions. Are any better than others? Or do you have any other suggestions for cases? Thanks!

I have had the Lifeproof case and I really like them. Very protective. The one thing I didn't care for was the fact that the earphone port is small, so not all of my earphones fit.

Right now, I have my iphone 5 in an Otterbox case. This works pretty well too, but it isn't waterproof, like the Lifeproof case.

I've heard a couple times where the life proof cases failed in getting wet, but that could have been user error. In my house we don't use anything but the otterbox defender. U can get it on amazon a lot cheaper than the stores. U can watch defender review videos on YouTube to see what it can stand up to.

Otterbox Defender case here. The one for my iPhone 5 seems much improved and sleeker than the previous ones.

What about the Otterbox Commuter? It seems a little thinner than the Defender? DD carrys her phone in her pocket a lot and doesn't want it too thick.

I got an Incipio Frequency case and put on a piece of Speigen glass. It is protected pretty well and still seems nice and slim. I just couldn't bear to put such a slick looking phone in a giant case; plus I keep it in my pocket a lot. I've dropped it a couple times and had no problems.

I haven't used Lifeproof for a phone but did buy an Otterbox for dh. He dropped his phone and it bounced hard. The case actually broke but the phone was fine so it did its job

I would go with an Otterbox Defender - they are the most protective case. I shattered a 2 week old 4S in a Commuter case, I will stick with the Defender.

My DH loves his life proof case. The first thing they have you do is soak if in water w/o the phone to make sure it is waterproof. He loves showing it to people by dropping it in a glass of water. The videos online of what they do to the cases are crazy.
