We have Sprint (not going to change) and I saw the thread about iPhones being on sale at Best Buy. DH and I are both eligible for an upgrade so I started looking at them.

I use the internet and streaming (Netflix, Pandora, etc) a lot but DH usually just browses when he's bored. I have about 28GB of movies, music and apps on my iTouch and I plan on putting some of them onto the iPhone (if I get one). After reading the reviews of the iPhone 5, I see that a lot of people have problems with the internet and data speeds on the Sprint network. I know that one of the differences between the 4S and the 5 is that the 5 is 4G LTE and the 4S is not. Since I do a lot of streaming, I would prefer the 5 so that it at least has access to the LTE when it becomes more available. DH, on the other hand, doesn't even realize that his current phone (HTC EVO) has 4G! He would be just fine with the 4S.

My questions to you all is if you have an iPhone on the Sprint network, are you happy with it? Is it unbearably slow? It's silly, but the main reason I'm looking to switch to an iPhone (instead of the Samsung Galaxy III) is because I recently started running. I use my iTouch for my music and running app, but I really like the idea of having a phone in case of an emergency. I don't want to run with an iPod and a phone so the iPhone is the perfect solution:goodvibes. Plus, the Galaxy is so big, it doesn't fit in my armband:mad:. I'm just afraid that the data speed will be disappointing based on some of the reviews I've read.

My DH and I both have iPhone5s with Sprint. Before we upgraded, we had Evos (my was an original, DH's was a Evo 3D). I personally feel like at times thing run slower. We don't really use our phones for music (we use pandora) or movies (DS will watch Disney Junior App if anything). But I sometimes feel like the internet isn't anywhere near what I had with my OLD Evo. But it really varies as to where we are. At Disney I can get onto the LTE which is WAY faster than Disney's WiFi or the 3G I can get. It seems to be hit or miss when we are driving around Orlando. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, but sometimes I get really frustrated when I want to quick look something up and it feels like I'm back on dial-up!!!! Also, I run and LOVE the Nike+ App that I have been using!

I don't know if this helps with what you are asking. But truthfully, I am much more happy with my iPhone than I was with my Evo!

We just joined sprint a few months ago and I have the Iphone 5. I have had no problems with it. LTE runs faster and my wireless at home is fine. When I'm at work, certain places in the building are really slow and others not so much. I only have 3G there.

I watch netflix at home with it and my son has watched it in the car on a long drive with no problems.

Of course my last phone, I was on Verizon and I had internet but it was really slow and clunky so anything is an improvement.
