Sadly :sad2: , we don't have enough time to do both -
I will be with traveling with my dh, dd's (18, 11 & 8) and dgb (14months)

We will be in either one on Sat. Dec. 3.
I’ve heard that at this time of year it is really slow at the parks with little or no wait at all.
Is that true?
Which one is more suitable for us as a family?
Can I do both parks in one day? Is there a special ticket for 2 parks in 1 day?
Would we have enough time?
Any info and opinions are welcome?

You can do both parks in one day if you restrict yourself to only the rides you feel you must do. I've hit IOA at opening and been able to do all the thrill rides, and a few others by early afternoon. You can then head over to USF and hit the must sees. The lines at USF, I've found are a little longer than at IOA. In short, if you commit yourself to a fast paced day you should be fine.

With the variety of ages, I would do Universal, IMO. I think there would more rides/shows for everyone to enjoy. They are both excellent parks. Early Dec is usually quieter and rides should be walk-ons first thing in the morning and possible small lines in the afternoon.

You can do both parks in one day but it would have to be commando and you would have to pick and choose the attractions you want to see. There is alot of do in these parks. For myself, I would rather stick to the one, do everything I could in one day and really enjoy it. Commando might be hard with a crew your size :).
