We are heading down to Orlando for Spring Break. As you can see by my signature, we have been to WDW many times. Our DDs will be 11 & 15 and would like to see the Harry Potter section at IoA. I am having a hard time thinking about shelling out $88 per person (because we only plan to go for one day) but would like to see this also. We have never been to Universal/IoA

We are going the week of March 24th and staying on-site at Disney, we will have a car

Questions:
Will we even be able to get through everything HP and maybe see some other parts of IoA?

How crazy crowded will it be?

Is it best to go first thing in the morning or later at night? When we went to Disney 2 years ago during spring break, the late nights worked well for us.

All advice greatly appreciated!

We spent a lot of time at IoA last spring break. The lines are not too terrible. I found the HP section to be better in the evening for crowds.

You can also do front of the line passes or stay at a universal hotel to get that privilege, but I did not find it necessary. We rode all we wanted to ride in one day.

Be sure to get a butter beer. I loved both kinds. We also liked the cauldron cakes. Chocolate frogs are not that tasty, but have awesome packaging and cards in them. The castle is a must see.

Don't forget AAA discounts if you have membership. It works for tickets, food, and merchandise.

In 2010 we went during Spring Break in March- our dates were around the 10-12. We had plenty of time to do HP and many other rides too.

We went with the idea that we would be standing in long lines, and they WERE long! We did not stay onsite and did not have FOTL.

But at the end of the day, we had done everything we wanted too and had a great time.

HP land did clear out some at the end of the night. But don't wait until the end to go there! It is so awesome, you will want to do the rides more than once!

Thanks for the replies & please keep them coming.

Does anyone know if there are discounts on the 1 day/1 park tickets? Even AAA only has discounts on multi day tickets

No discounts to speak of offered by anyone on one-day tickets. True of Universal or Disney.
