invitations for Intimate wedding

Can anyone help please? We're having a vow renewal based on an Intimate wedding and will be inviting just 5 couples to attend. We're not sure what to do about Save the Date and Invitation cards - as we will need so few of each, is there any possibility of still having really nice Disney themed stationery?

I'm sure someone else can confirm this but DFTW will send a "Save the Date" to everyone on your list once your contract is signed.

We are also having an Intimate wedding and between me, my DF and friends, we designed our own invitations. Ours are not Disney themed, but there are others on this board that have designed their own. If you check out Mary626's TR, she has pictures of her programs and I think her invitations posted.

Thanks, but even if they did send Save the Date's out, I doubt they'd do that to the UK, and even so, I think we need to let eveyone know a provisional date as early as possible, as there are international flights to arrange which are best booked early.

They didn't send save the dates for our Intimate but things change overnight! Always best to double check with your EM.

We made the announcements (75 of them - yeesh that was a lot of work!) but I got lucky and the printer who was contracted to the place I worked at did our invitations for free. Just FYI the minimum order on invites is 25. Needless to say we have a LOT left over!

If you are having an intimate wedding your most cost effective solution is to make them yourself. Most invitation websites or vendors have a minimum of 75-100 invitations which would be way more than you need. When I was planning my wedding I was told to contact Shelly at a place called Impressions but the price that she wanted to make 8 Disney invitations for me with the additional licensing fee for using a copyrighted Disney image was the same as if I would have purchased 100 invitations elsewhere. I ended up making my own. I purchased a kit from a craft store and did all the printing myself. I made the programs for my wedding also using a kit from the craft store.

This would be the most cost effective way for you to go and you would have complete creative control over them. Good luck.

what we did was we kind of made our own "save the date" letters". we sent out letters to those we were inviting, informing them that we were having our wedding in WDW. we sent letters again once the wedding date was saved and the WP and hotels were booked. in our letter, we informed everyone that we would be receiving reservation paper work in a couple of weeks. with the reservation paper work, the save the date letters were provided as well. so, we mailed them out and everyone was able to make their reservations. that's what we did in regards to invitations.

I actually used a coloring page that I found online and then cleaned up the image and took all the color out of the background which happened to be pink! I do have some Mickey and Minnie clipart that I have posted here. I hope it helps you.

I bought lovely invitations from the Disney store in the UK, I haven’t got them to hand at the moment but they were only a couple of pound. If you have any spare you could cut them out and reuse them for 'save the date'.
They are not on the website but there are some lovely things that might interest you.

I got my invitations from Shelly at Impressions-she did an excellent job but they were way expensive. I also didn't do the save the date cards. Instead I'm sending out a letter to remind everyone of what day the wedding is and the events that we are doing when we are in WDW.
