I'm not a DVC member - yet, but I've been doing some investigating. Interval International has a lot of resorts out there. Has anyone ever stayed in one? How easy is it to book one? And how do you go about finding how many points you would need to stay in one of their resorts? Thanks - Sue
Timeshare exchanging is a complicated issue. DVC only allows members to exchange into around 300 of the 1800 II resorts. I've stayed at, and own at, a number of other timeshares both on and not on the DVC - II list. You simply call DVC and give them the info. If what you want is available at that time, you say yes or no, if not they can put in an ongoing search and then call you for a final answer when it's available. You're generally looking at OKW points for the same size unit between adventure and Magic season. As far as ease of booking, it's hit and miss. Most matches come in at 6 months or less from desired travel time making air fare a problem for some. Also remember that the most desirable resorts for the best times are usually not given up by the other resort's members making getting them for an exchange almost impossible.
