Just got off the phone with a CM and she said to guarantee that you do not get a HA villa with a tub in it you or the person making the reservation for you must check off "roll-in shower ONLY". I hope her info is correct.

Actually, you have always needed to specify that you need a roll in shower.
We've been using Disney Vacation Club villas for a long time and have always needed to specify since there are partially accessible villas with raised seat toilets and grab bars in the bathrooms.
Unless you specify, they will not know what you want.

All DVC one bedroom, 2 bedroom and Grand villa have both a shower and whirlpool tub in the master bath - the shower will not be roll in unless that is what was specified. Studios (and second bedrooms of 2 bedroom units) have a tub/shower combination, which will have grab bars in the villas without roll in showers.

It's a good reminder to mke sure you get what you expect.

No I knew that you needed to specify whether or not you needed a roll-in shower but I kept getting push back saying that the other bathroom(s) would have either a tub/shower combo or a stall shower without grab bars and that won't work for us. I know when we stayed at BWV 2 years ago we had a 2BR lock-off which had the roll-in in the master bath and a stall shower with grab bars in the bathroom in the studio portion.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

I do know there are some different combinations of accessibility depending on resort.
When we have had lock offs at OKW, they were always the same on both sides - either both roll in shower or both not.

No problem. Yeah I know when we stayed at BWV the bathroom in the studio portion of the lock-off worked for my grandma so it must have either been a roll-in or a stall shower with grab bars because she can not climb over a bath tub and I remember that I was able to maneuver easily throughout the whole 2BR lock-off in my motorized scooter. Have you ever stayed at BLT?
