I'd like to know the answer as well. We'll be staying at RPR, and my sister is taking on-line college classes and she'll need access to the internet as least for one day as she will have a quiz one day. I signed up under a loew's member reservation, does that give me free access? I remember reading something about that before, but I can't remember now.

internet service in your room is $9.99 a day/24 hour time period.

be sure to find out the start time the hotel has for the service.

one year i was there the start time was at 3:00 pm and ran 24 hours from there.

i have read that some guests have found hot spots around the pool and in the lobby. can't verify that as i have not used it.

hopefully someone that has, will post about it.

From the Royal Pacific website list of amenities:

Complimentary high speed internet access (HSIA) in public areas - (available in room for a nominal fee).

I haven't used it yet, so I can't comment on how well it works until next month.

Thanks all for your replies. I called the hotel yesterday and was told since I never used my Loew "you first" card (I think that's what its called), I could use the internet free of charge in the lobby. she also asked me if I had a laptop and I told her yes. I'm not for sure if the lobby has any or limited amount of computers.:surfweb:

My husband has used the free wireless service in the lobby. It worked ok. I have never seen any computers in the lobby only in the club level.

The free hotspot in the lobby must be something new, because it was not there in February. You could connect to the wifi, but you would need the code after you pay.

members at the blue, gold or platinum status for the loew's youfirst program, should receive free internet at rph and pbh.

it is listed as one of the perks for members.

that is why the tm asked about your loews membership

you have to have 2 stays in to gain the blue level status.

I have read that in common areas like lobby or pool the wifi is free ? is that true i hate to paid for this service because in other hotels is free.

i have been to plenty of hotels on the east coast, west coast and midwest where fees are attached for wifi.

even disney charges for it.

if you are a loews blue, gold or platinum member in their youfirst program, one of the perks is free wifi at the loews hotels.

I've found that hotels that cater to a business crowd (Marriott Courtyard, Hampton Inn, etc) usually provide free internet while leisure/resort hotels usually charge. I know when we stayed at PBH in the fall we were able to get free internet because we were Loews Blue. I'll be interested if HRH offers something similar for their All Access members. I'll find out in two weeks.

We are at the HRH right now. All Access members do not get free wi-fi. It is free in the lobby and pool areas, but you must pay 9.95 for 24 hours of use. Today the time is from 1:00pm till 1:00pm tomorrow. We asked about free wi-fi for All Access members but were told no. On the upside, we were upgraded to a pool view room with the All Access card.

sorry but i dont understand, in the lobby is free? or the pool area?
i m not in the loews program and im going in september and want to be conected to my work. thanks

yes, the lobby and the pool area are free. That is what we were told by the front desk at the HRH. I haven't tried it yet at those areas, but did see someone in the lobby on a laptop yesterday, and also saw someone at the pool area on a laptop. The 9.95 charge is to use the internet in your room for a 24 hour period. You don't pick the time frame, the hotel tells you when it begins and ends on each specific day. Yesterday it was 1:00pm till 1:00pm today. So, that's when mine ends...I guess I'll try it in the lobby or pool area after that.

Sorry if I'm repeating- I'm just confused. At the Royal Pacific- is internet free in the pool and lobby area? How do you get on & do you need a password or something?

We are going in July and would like to be able to use it off and on. We did not sign up for a Loews card.

Thanks!
