Is wi-fi free @ GF? If so, is it working reliably? Does anyone know if the Ethernet connections are still working? I have a travel router and the connection has been very good on previous trips to WDW. Thanks!

Yes, they have WiFi. Yes, it is free. I do not know how well it works. When we were at the BC CL in late January, the ethernet connections had already been pulled from the rooms. WiFi there on the 5th floor - on our end - worked bad enough that we couldn't use it. At the other end of the hallway where the lounge is, it was a lot better. They told me it was a work in progress and they would be adding more equipment to boost the signal. So YMMV.

Disney pulled a building permit for upgrades to the wifi system last month. As vicki stated, wifi is a work in progress and there can be dead spots identified after it is installed. From the wording of the permit, they have tested and identified the areas.

Wifi is still a new technology and with a place like Disney and different types of construction materials, the signal can be weak and needs enhancing.

I am here now and the wireless is awful. I could not get it to work all week. Bring a hard wire cable just in case. My connection speed seems ok but the download time for large files crawls.

So the ethernet connection is still working?
