Internet at Art of Animation

Can anyone report on the Internet at Art of Animation? Is there still a charge for it? If so, how much? Is it good/fast? My DH is taking online classes and needs to alert the professor in advance if he'll be absent from a session. We arrive one week from today!

All resorts now offer free WiFi.

Free wi-fi and we had no issues with it at all.

The Wi-Fi was free when we stayed at AoA. The only problem I had was it didn't allow me to access certain sites. I couldn't access my livejournal account because Disney decided it was adult and blocked it. I eventually started using the mobile hotspot in my phone instead. I don't think you should have a problem though.

I'd be super careful with depending on Disney wifi. If you read the boards here you will hear some people say it's great and others say that they had problems. And this could all occur at the same resort. If it's really important that your husband do online classes while on vacation, I'd bring something else to guarantee you have access. I read about someone depending on Disney wifi for classes and not being able to access the internet and getting a failing grade because the professor would not make any exceptions.

If you do have issues with the wifi, call the Tech number by the phone. I had to do some work while on vacation and had a problem with the connection. It would connect for short periods of time. After I called the number, I was asked for the IP address and was told to wait 45 minutes. After that, I had no problem for the rest of my trip.

I guess we'll just make sure he logs in early and hope for the best. He will email his professors in advance just in case something arises.
