internet access?

i will be a por...i saw on thier site they have internet access...is that in the room?

1) Via cable, but no WiFi.
2) ALL resorts have internet cables and dial-up.
3) Some convention resorts have WiFi in public areas (but not in rooms).

it's $9.95 for 24 hours. there is a difference. if you sign up at 10 pm on thursday, it's still the same $10 at 9 pm on friday

I know I'm bumping this way up but....I have a couple of questions.

Should I bring my cables or do I need to use theirs? How do I request this? Do I call down to the front or what? Forgive my ignorance but I've never stayed at a Disney hotel before so I'm not sure how this works!

Thanks!
Kimba

I was wondering the same thing and found a few articles... one here, and here and this one. Pictures and additional info on those sites.

I just can't see paying $10/day for connectivity! Nuts! Thank goodness I have a wireless aircard for work that I'll be bringing with me!

If you have wireless there is still a charge. It isn't free at WDW. There is a cable in the room.

Here's the setup you will find in your room at POR. I think photos always help.

If you have a local dial-up number, and it's only .75 for a local call from the room, could you technically get several hours access for the one .75 call? I usually use my cell phone, so I don't know if there are any time restrictions on outbound local calls from the room or not. Since I'd just use it to check email and maybe do a little general browsing, .75 sure sounds more economical than $10, even on a daily basis. Has anyone tried it?

Here's where I show how computer ignorant I am. Is it dial up or high speed. We usually stay at WL and I thought that they have high speed.:confused3

In the rooms is high speed internet for 9.95 for 24 hours. You can use dial up from the port on the phone.
