Is there anywhere at the campground that you can plug in and check your email? :badpc: I know you can get the high speed if you have a preferred site but that price is alittle high :rotfl2: to just check the email.

Thanks,
Chris

For a fee (i recall) you can go to business center at Contemporary and have high speed access. has worked better for us than using at campsite.

At the main lobby at FW (where you check-in), you can get free dial-up access. There are several chairs and phone outlets available. They also have an internet cafe that is located upstairs in the building between the outside check-in lanes.

When did they put in the internet cafe and is it advertised or anything? Is there any place to park or gain access to the place where you don't have to play "chicken" with the guests checking in? Please forward any details, as we are very interested in using this for our upcoming trip. It would be highly appreciated.

The last time I called WDW, I asked about internet access in the campground and they said there is wireless available, even if you're not in a preferred site. (We're in a popup booked in a water/electric site.)

Can anyone confirm that this is true? My vacation may be riding on it, as dh will probably have to log in alot during our trip and I don't want to give up our trip to Disney World!

Thanks!

That is exactly why I have never used it. I enjoy sitting in the lobby and people watching while I'm online. When I was there in October, they were giving out directions to people who wished to use it, so I'm sure it's still there; just not widely publicized.

No, it is not true. Wired internet only on preferred sites.

Has anyone used the internet cafe??? :surfweb: I never heard about this?!?!?! Any photos??

I used as recently as last February. Things may have changed. It is not really a cafe, but more of an empty room with counter space and electrical and phone connections. It is dial in only. It is located in the little building beween the check-in gates.

Thanks for the confirmation. You get the most perplexing answers from the people answering the phones as WDW!

....who had to call 6 times to get ADR's, and got different answers almost every time!

I remember reading another thread about this. I posted there also... there is internet hookup ( that you need to physically hook up to) at the preferred sites but I think you can get wireless if you rent a router from any of the sites.. They gave us a paper with info for the wireless ( we stayed at a site with water, elec and sewer) but we had internet Satalite card from hubby's work so we didnt need it...

Disney does not provide any wireless internet at FW. Wired cable intenet ony at the preferred sites.

The only wireless is provided by cellular companies via cellular cards (Im sure that is what you had, not satellite).

Satellite Internet takes a special dish, (never on just a "card") that must be mounted well above the ground. For more information check out HughesNET Satellite Internet.

I am connecting right now from Loop 2000, but I have my own (through work) Verizon Wireless America's Network Broadband card. That is the only way to connect other than the cable modems or the dialup hookups at the outpost.

In addition to what the previous poster said, there is also WiFi access at Wide World of Sports.

We were in the 700 loop a while back, and I picked up a wireless network from Wilderness Lodge or the villas. The signal was very low, and I was not able to access it.
