I hope this is the right place for this. I'm staying in Disney (pop century) for two weeks, and will be obviously, in the parks most days. I'm not taking a computer cause we're coming from the Uk. However, it would be nice to occassionally get online so we can email family back home. Does anyone know if there is access anywhere?

We stayed at POR in October and I don't recall them having a business center there, so I doubt that POP would. I always take my lap top with me as disney has wireless, although charge about $10 a day.

i think certain resorts, like coronado springs, does have a way for you to email or fax someone, for a fee. This resort is known for it's convention center and people there on business to use computers/internet.

but while you are in epcot, you can go to one of the innoventions areas, they have things where they take goofy pictures and such, and there is an option to email it to family and friends with messages attached. i believe that you can also do this in the world of imagination. imagination station, or something like that. it is an area where kids can interact with things, there are some computers there that will take pictures of you and put you with imaginative characters and allow you to email it to someone. these are all free.

i am not sure about this one, but i think that there is an area in downtown disney where you can use the internet for email, but also for a fee.

good luck though! :wizard:

we always use our laptop, so i am not sure of any other places.

Guests may access the internet and check their Web-based email at the Business Center at Disney's Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht and Beach Club and Coronado Springs Resorts. Their hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The cost is $40 per hour or $10 for each 15 minutes of internet access. There is also a charge of $1 per page to print. The Center's equipment can be used for business purposes only.

Easiest way to find out would probably be to just ask in the lobby where nearest internet access would be.

I can confirm this and add Boardwalk to the list. I had to get online during our stay in January. At the Boardwalk, the Business Center is in the Convention Center. They have a couple computers and you can access the Internet for $10 for 15 minutes. The CM was very nice and she didn't ask if it was for business or personal. It was personal and, trust me, at $10 a pop, I was on and off in a flash! :badpc:

The Grand Floridian actually has in-room internet access.

I used the high speed access at the Beach Club in my room - they have the cord, and you can plug in, and gain access to the internet. The charge is $9.99/day. I know they had this as well when my DSis was at Caribbean Beach.

Sorry - this does not answer the OP question, but I thought I would add the info for someone else that might be interested.

You would think for $10 a day it would be pretty good, but it's not "high-speed". It may be broadband, but it is awfully slow. If I could have found an AOHell disk I would have installed that... :rolleyes1

We went to DQ two years ago and there were laptops in the food court area. I remember messing on the internet but i couldn't access my email...I think that was purely operator error tho!

We stayed at Pop Century in Sept. and had to access email. We talked with the front desk and they suggested the Boardwalk business area. It was expensive as others have mentioned.
