Hi Fellow international Disney fans,

I am from Australia. In my countless hours of research and trying to navigate the Disney site when booking accommodation, I decided using the site was just too hard and went to my travel agent. She clearly had no idea either even though she was trying her best, so I gave up.

I did some research and came across an American Disney travel agent. After checking it out thoroughly and confirming it wasn't a scam and that international guests could book with them too; I decided to book with them. What a genius idea it was. The consultant helped us get the hotel and room we wanted and saved us thousands of dollars on our trip by giving us innumerable tips and tricks and helping us with dining reservations (back then, 5 years ago the my Disney app didn't exist)

I highly recommend international travellers go through a Disney travel agent for accommodation as it's such a timesaver: you're getting an expert to do it for you who can also help with any questions you may have and tips you may need; can even make dining reservations for you if you find the Disney app overwhelming or confusing.

Thank you for the tip.
I travel international and have always used the Disney website with no problem. Sometimes I call them if I prefer to speak to a CM.
I got a recommendation for a Disney travel agent and they seemed ok but they didn't have the dates/resort I needed so I ended up going directly through Disney again :)

I'm from Chile and I've always used the Disney website, I think it's very simple to use and if I have any issues, I call them directly, the number is toll free and it's reachable by skype, so no international calling fees. If I'm feeling really lazy and don't want to speak in English I just select the Spanish optipn and it communicates you with a spanish speaking CM.

Another international visitor. I haven't needed the services if a Disney Specialist TA either, but it's certainly an option as long as you get a good one, and are aware that you need to go thru them for any alterations to your reservation. I've found the website more reliable than the app. In fact I distrust the app so much I try to never use it, relying on wifi in the parks or resort to use the website while there.
