International Gateway?

This will be our first time staying at the BOARDWALK (beyond excited) and I was wondering can we walk over from the International Gateway to get breakfast at places like Boulangerie Patisserie, Morocco Coffee & Pastries and or Sunshine Seasons in the AM? Are those places accessible "before" the park "opens up", since there is no reservations needed?

Except for the Princess breakfast at Akershus, none of the Epcot restaurants open before the rest of the park. Sunshine Seasons begins serving breakfast at 9, while the bakeries in World Showcase generally open around 11.

The PP is correct, you can only get into the park before it opens, if you have an ADR for Akershus before the park opens. A CM will be at the turnstiles with a clipboard in hand making sure you have an ADR before you are allowed in. Once the park is open to the general public, you will be free to go in as well. Have a great time staying at the Boardwalk, our Epcot Resort area is our favorite

I've picked up some pastries at Boulangerie Patisserie before leaving Epcot in the evening for my breakfast the next morning.

Yeah, we learned that the hard way! I thought it would be a brilliant idea to go in early, head to the bakery in france, and get some goodies. It wasn't open, and would be open for several hours. Actually, I wonder how we got into the park that early!!! We were also staying at Boardwalk that visit.

Except for the Akershus princess breakfast, all of the restaurants in WS including the Patisserie and Kringla Bakery in Norway will not open until 11AM. There is, however, a small coffee & pastry cart between UK/Canada that will be open at 9.

Sunshine Seasons in FW will open at 9 and has pastries and breakfast foods.

You can also get pastries at the Boardwalk Bakery.

Just like a PP, we also pick up pastries in the evening at the Patisserie or Kringla for breakfast. If you're on the Dining Plan the Patisserie is great because they will let you choose 2 pastries and a beverage for a CS credit.

This is not true on the Epcot resorts side -- you can enter through the International Gateway to go to FutureWorld prior to rope drop. No ADR needed. However, it is correct that nothing in World Showcase is open except for Akershaus Princess Dining. But you can walk through the UK and Canada to get to Future World.

Previous posters are correct. Nothing in World Showcase except Akershus is open until 11 AM. If you want breakfast, your best option in the park is Sunshine Seasons. There are also the Joffrey's kiosks in Future World (these do not take the dining plan).

You can enter the International Gateway at any time after park opening time. You will walk through Britain and Canada to reach Future World; the rest of the pavilions will be roped off. Britain and Canada will not be, but none of the restaurants or stores will be operational. There was a report that there is a kiosk in the UK/Canada area that serves some breakfast items. No idea if you can use dining plan there if it is open. If it is operated by Joffrey's it will not accept the plan.

If you have a reservation for Akershus before park opening, you can enter through the International Gateway, where I believe you will be escorted to Akershus.
