International Gateway for CBR guests?

Hi,

We are staying at the CBR, which is pretty close to EPCOT and MGM, but not what I would call walking distance. I know about the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT, and my understanding is that it's for guests of BC, YC, BW, DD, and DS. My question is, can I park at one of those hotels and use that entrance (and more importantly exit) to and from EPCOT? I don't want to bend any rules, but I just don't know if guests of one resort can park at another resort if they wish to do so.

Thanks

Disney strongly discourages guests from parking at one of the resorts if their intended destination is one of the parks. Many have reported that you will be given a 3 hour parking pass if you are not actually staying at the resort. Some report that they have seen cars towed, especially from the monorail resorts.

Parking at the YC/BC resorts is more limited now that the BCV have been added (less space, more guests). You will get a parking pass if you try to park there. BWI/BWV guests often complain that they cannot find spots in the BW self-park lots because so many people park there to go to EPCOT.

There is a self-park lot across the street from the Boardwalk. No one will mind if you park there, but it is approximately 3/4 mile from the IG entrance. Oftentimes, the CMs at the guard shack will direct people there (especially in the mornings) if they are not BWI/BW guests and do not have a PS for one of the BW restaurants.

I would suggest that instead of trying to use the IG, you either take the bus or park in the EPCOT lot. Instead of hurrying out in the middle of a crowd, wait 15 - 20 minutes and just enjoy the park. Maybe have a cup of coffee, a soda or a glass of beer/wine. Linger in the shops just a bit. People watch. Then walk out leisurely to your car of the bus. You'll probably get back to your room at about the same time and you will have avoided the "stress" of the crowds.

Enjoy your trip!

The IG can be used by anyone with a pass. However, you cannot park at any of the resorts unless you are a guest or have a reason to be there. As stated before, they will issue you a pass for 3 hours and will tow after that time.
Also, as stated, take your time leaving. We always walk around the lagoon, away from the thundering exiting hoardes, and enjoy the quiet and the balmy breezes that simply surround you. It is a very romantic walk. ;)
