International Gateway both ways?

Can the International Gateway entrance be used coming in AND leaving EPCOT prior to World Showcase opening?

I will be staying at POFQ in January and currently have a Cape May brunch booked for 10:30. I'd rather not deal with a taxi, so my thought was to start the day at EPCOT and then go to the Beach Club through the International Gateway for brunch. But I realized that I would need to go before World Showcase opened. I know that guests can come IN to EPCOT via the IG and a path prior to WS opening, but can you go OUT that way as well?

There may be a cast member near the entrance to World Showcase who asks where you are headed. Just explain that you are going to Cape May, and you should have no problem getting through.

I don't think this will happen. You can access Epcot at park opening through the IG, just like the regular entrance. You can walk right through WS to FW if you like. There are also people dining at Akershus.

Also, Cape May is in the Beach Club.

The bakery in France is open everyday at 9am so there's no problem going from Future World to the WS,the IG is before France so this area is open before 11am to enter and exit.
