Unfortunately, I won't be visiting her there because, well you know...bawk bawk bawk!

What a great placement for her and happy for her that her number 1 choice came thru! I can't recall the costume? Of course, I am not known for my memory!

It's drizzling today, when the sun comes back, I will box some up Marjorie! We really need the rain...well, not at my house b'cuz right now we have no lawn (!) but all the neighbours do so I am happy for them!

Shanan does sound to be having a good time doesn't she? YAY..finally!
She's sure seems to be packing lots in there..

H'lo there.

Just thought I'd check in, see what the rest of the country's up to and to let you know we had a little bit of sunshine today, woohoo! It's even supposed to get better and be up to 25 Sunday. Pathetic, aren't I?

Heard from Brynna both last night and this morning. She seems to have kept herself fairly busy on her two days off. Hit the outlet mall again, casing the joint I'm sure for when mom comes down with $!

She mentioned getting together with Shanan and Shayna today but not sure if that transpired.

First day of work at RnRC tomorrow. I believe the costume is black and red, the red being a vest with musical notes on it. I'm hoping to see a photo soon but I won't hold my breath.

Saw The Lake House tonite, lovely romance. I so do like Keanu Reeves & Sandra Bullock.

I haven't talked to Shanan since Monday so not too sure if the girls hung out together...I imagine if I check the blog...I will get the scoop!

I was wondering if that movie is good, it looks it! I want to see that and still trying to get to the Da Vinci Code too...Maybe this coming weekend my friends and I may go to see one or the other?

Glad the warmer weather is finally stopping by Marjorie! Good things come to those who wait! LOL

Wonder where/how Bonnie is?? Must be busy in the garden!

Not to much else going on with me...same old, same old. Three weeks today we leave to see Shanan and I can't wait! Of course I have an old doggie that I worry about so I hope she stays well..always something huh??

Just a quick hullo. Guess the kids are getting busier, the blogs aren't as forthcoming as usual!

Brynna said she had a great time with the girls the other night and it was so nice to see on Shanan's blog, a photo of Brynna. Really made me miss her!

I guess RRC is a hit with her, she swears she's never coming home! Bound and determined to find an American to marry her! I'm afraid coming back home in September and heading back to school will be a real disappointment!

Guess you don't have too many sleeps left Karen? I'm down to 41, it's soooo long away.

I'm feeling a little remiss in touching base lately! Picked up a new client this week and trying to catch up on work from being away.

Glad to hear Brynna has settled in nicely and is really enjoying her job. The girls seem to be getting together regularly and I think Brynna has been a great addition to their little group!

When is it you leave Karen? Boy, time flies doesn't it?

Shayna is finally getting in the groove...she sounds good, is really enjoying the heat (go figure!) and seems to be socially very busy! What a difference having a few good friends can make to an experience!

I'm getting a kick out of Shanan's blog...she's an awesome writer!

I leave Buffalo July 12..0715 so we are thinking of going down the night prior and hotelling it that way the car stays free while we are away! Back on the 18th...looking forward to spending some time with Shanan and my friend is also coming up from Fort Lauderdale to visit so that will be nice too!

Well, we just came back from Guelph. Had some furniture delivered and the drive back was awful. The 401 was totally backed up and Hwy 6 was bad going up so I took the 401 home? Dumb move..

We have a 40th birthday party this weekend up in Caledon, Terry's brothers-wife and I am about as thrilled as you sound Bonnie! CAN'T wait!
I'd rather stay home and stick a fork in my eye!
How 'bout you Marjorie, anything more exciting than us???

Well..it's been a busy day and now I get to tidy around here as we blew out of here mighty early!!

I told Terry tonight, if his Mother or any of them say "Oh well, how are the girls because we never hear from them" I am going to say "Well, one is almost 20 and the other 22 so you'll really have to take it up with them"!!!!!! And when he said "Why would you say that"? I said "Because I'm 50 and I can"!! Hence the rather staying home and hanging around the cutlery drawer thought!! If I could get out of it, I sure would in a New York minute! I'll just sit and drink wine and get all mellow and then, who cares!?!?! Their jaws will be moving but nothing will be coming out! hehehe.....

I, however, am just working at CSC tomorrow and that's about it for the whole weekend. I'm looking forward to vegging out on Sunday, seems like it's been weeks since I've slept in and just relaxed. I will be heading over to Vancouver next weekend to spend with my family.

Went to see Click tonight. Very funny movie, more than what I had expected.

Yup, I think the girls are pretty much "settled" in. Brynna's a little discouraged that she has 3 days off coming up, she just wants to keep working at RRC! Hopefully she can find others to hang with her in her free time.

It was at a restaurant so at least the food was very good and we got to bail when we wanted!! Best of all, Hubby's parents didn't show..hehehe....so didn't have to listen to the same old, same old. Hope your reuinion goes/went as well Bonnie? That's the family stuff done for awhile now..lol

I think Shanan is off tomorrow Marjorie?? I am sure Brynna will find some fun outside of working!! :thumbsup I haven't spoken to Shanan in a couple of days...better read her blog and see what she's been up to! I hear the weather has turned nice out West?

Well..nothing exciting planned today...have to go to the Mall, daughter NEEDS to! Tonight I am going to see 'The Lake House' with some friends so that will be nice...it's a lovely morning out there!!

Evening ladies......just cooling off here in "hot as hell BC", it's almost 11 pm too! When I asked for you to send some my way, I didn't think we would get temps around 35! Thank goodness for ac at the office and in my car. When I got home I just surrounded myself with fans.

Fortunately Brynna met up with Kev last night and they went to MK and then today I got a text message from her that they were in line at EE and was I jealous? I texted back: yes, and to kiss the yeti for me! She texted back later and said it was awesome and that I'll love it. That was my connection with her for the day. Apparently Shanan was working and Shayna picked up an extra shift I believe. Brynna did get her schedule post-training, after her assessment on Thursday she has ANOTHER 3 days off (what to do, what to do) and then works M - F. I told her since she's off she should go to the Canada Pavillion at Epcot on the 1st to hang out with the other canajuns. Apparently she's heard word of a party somewhere in the vicinity of Vista Way, perhaps Mickey's Retreat?

Anyways, off to bed, hoping it's cooled down enough so I can sleep.

It's rainy but muggy here too Marjorie...
We are having some reno's done here so the A/C is turned off to keep the concrete dust down for a few days..it's mighty sticky here and all I can do is keep the ceiling fans whirling! I might add it also makes my hair BIG! Not pretty.

Sounds like Brynna is doing nicely and making the most of her time and time off!! I spoke to Shanan briefly yesterday and she was busy choosing her courses for school...a little touch of reality! She mentioned some of them are thinking of going to see the shuttle launch July 1st. That would be pretty cool...I won't be doing EE I'm afraid...because, well...I'm afraid! hehehe... Bawk bawk bawk!

Two weeks today we head to Buffalo to overnight and do some pretrip-shopping! For what the hotel will cost, that pretty much evens out what parking would be so we'll stretch the trip wherever we can!

How's the cruising biz? I am finding it kinda slow...I have a ladies cruise next January on the Caribbean-Princess so I have been selling that but oh-so-slowly!!

Bonnie, what are you up to these days? Do you work full time out of the home? I guess your son must be all finished school for the summer? How was your reunion?

Well, as much as I would like to avoid doing anything...I better make it look like I try!! LOL

Hey girls!

Marjorie...so glad to hear that Brynna has settled in so well. I have to say that Shayna seems settled and actually happy now...huge relief!

She called today (she calls pretty much every day!) and actually commented about 'coming back' - that's huge considering she wanted to come home! She's really enjoying her work and loves how she has her days and works mostly at night.

She was asking me about going to see the shuttle on Saturday, but considering it's not something she's really in to, it seems a bit pricey and she's decided not to go.

I was telling my husband on Sunday, that if things get bad at the reunion and I start making stabbing motions at my eye, he knows we need to get the heck out of dodge!

It was fine, glad it's over, and told Shayna she didn't miss a thing!

Karen, you were asking what I do...I'm a self-employed bookkeeper and I work mostly from home. I was a SAHM for years, with a very part-time job with a consultant who I've worked for since getting out of high-school. When he began to gear down into retirement, I realized I could never get a 'real job' and decided to pick up a few bookkeeping clients and see if I could make a go of it. So far, it's been good, but it's tricky working from home. There's always distractions and it's very solitary, but I'm not complaining!

My boys are done school for the year, one will be doing 2 weeks of summer school and the other will be working fulltime starting next week.

They sure do sound happy don't they? Wow, what a difference another 50 grey hairs on us make! I think 'coming home' may well be the next trauma!! Shanan told me that she too is considering another stint there! She wants to be a character I think of only HOT HOT HOT when I imagine that. She wants to be Pluto..

I talked to Shanan many times today, she is trying to get some of her friends down there and lucky me gets to find them 'deals'! lol...I think out of Buffalo, Shanan's discounted room rate and some of her passes (but not all!! we need some) but then with the dining plan and even one day or two of passes it works out cheaply too...hard to say? I think the dining plan is the best bang for your buck...I am even torn for August as to what to do??

Shanan has always wanted to see a shuttle launch...so rather her than me!! It is pricey though so you really must want to see it I think!

Well, I have had enough of my hot house so I am off to my hotter still bedroom!! Good times..

Was your reunion last Sunday or next? Maybe you best take plastic flatware with you? Take a little voo-doo doll in your pocket! LOL

Ah it's cooled down a little here, we're averaging 24 or 25 a day, much more manageable.

Karen, hope Shanan is having good luck with her course selection. I was the button pusher (the day after Brynna arrived in FL) in selecting Brynna's courses (she already had them all set up). Unfortunately, she didn't get everything she wanted, but hey, since she's been at WDW she's thinking of getting the kind of degree that would help her get back to WDW. Now instead of minoring in business (major in Creative Writing, she wanted to work in publishing), she's considering majoring in business. We'll see how things work in the fall!

Saw Superman Returns tonite, very good movie.

Can't sleep...just took the dog for a walk. You sure see all kinds of things at this hour, including me in my lovely, moth-eaten pyjamas!

Sounds perfect temps Marjorie...it's been another muggy one here today and after a big thunderstorm is even more so now! Kind of like Florida out there! At least my A/C is back so all is good...

I will have a peek at Brynna's blog...seem to get the best scoop in their writings! It's funny, originally Shanan wanted to go into 'Animation' but knew the competition would be stiff so she wavered, Vet was another possibility for ages as well...then came Engineering with a 'view' to Imagineering. WHo knows, these young ladies and men are all the new trendsetters and Innovators of tomorrow, Disney could be home to many of them! Surely would be awesome!

Well...I will have a look at some blogs now, does Shayna have one Bonnie??
Your work sounds interesting and nice that you can do it at home! I mostly do my cruise stuff here too..but I also find it can be distracting. I don't have a lot of self discipline I'm afraid

Poor Brynna, she just called me from RRC to tell me the news of the boy dying on RRC this morning. How bizaare that something like this would happen on the very day she was having her assessment done. She was outside, being assessed, when everything started to happen so she didn't see exactly what occurred. She did, however, see the poor boy being taken away and will likely never forget the looks on his family's faces. She just did a grief session and they are just being debriefed. Looks like she'll have to finish her assessment tomorrow as of course the coaster is shut down.

I thought of poor Brynna when I heard the news...soooooo very sad and what an awful thing to witness. God Bless that whole family...I cannot imagine. Disney sure has their share of accident woes...I feel badly for them but then given the numbers in a year..I imagine it is not at all beyond reason.

A big hug to Brynna...a very sad day.
