I have a question for all the non American brides gettting married at WDW.
Is that legal? How does if work?

FH is American and I'm not.. I have 10 yr visa though...uhm... this gets complex but basically I'm not going to be the same nationality that I was when I was studying in the states because I'm becoming an EU citizen (I've lived my whole life in Europe)...

anyways, we are not planning on living in the states. I know it's a whole different ballgame if you are but that's not our case.

Will a marriage licence be granted if you're not from there? Or if FH is and I'm not? Is a disney wedding even a possibility for us?

If anyone knows and could share.. that would be awesome.

thanks!

As far as getting a marriage license goes, you're fine. I'm a US citizen, but my DF is from Mexico City. We applied through the mail using the info we found here:

It was super easy. All we used in terms of IDs were passports (mine from the US, hers from Mexico). The whole process took about two weeks, mostly because we took our time finding a notary. (You'd think notaries would be easy to find in Manhattan!) The Brevard County people were super quick.

As far as I know, it doesn't matter than you're not planning on living in the States after you get married. Tons of international couples get married in Disney World every year and return to their home countries. As long as you get the proper marriage license and keep it with you forever and ever and ever, you're fine. :)
