Interline discounts

Has anyone here recently used a interline discount. We have gone the last two years on public discounts. I have never received a pin. Since disney might be reducing thier public discounts. I'm considering using the interline rate for 2011 and giving up the ddp. Just wondering if anybody knew when the rates come out I get different answers from the cms. Some say August some say as late as November. Also How much of a discount did you get? Thanks

I've used the interline rate twice. It used to be 50% off rack rates, now it is 40%. I don't know if that will stay the same or change. Sorry I don't know when the new rates come out.

We used it times with 50%. The last time we opted for free dining.

I believe too it is now 40%, but when I ring they never seem to confirm the exact percentage allowance.

We booked in October for an August trip I'm not sure when the rates came out though.

Believe that is for airline employees.

I called in July they said they would be out In August. Last year they came out August 18. I ended up booking with AAA because I wanted a 1bdr villa at BWV and dxdp(can't get dining plan with interline discount). I was told by one cm that villas are only occasionally offered usually ssr and okw. I' m hoping for a good public discount or I may have to rethink this thing. Good luck

Thanks they do have a 1 bdr villa at bvc. Now I'll l have to cancel with AAA. I feel about that I know they get commision.

We just got an interline discount yesterday. We are AP holders and we like to compare the AP discounts with the interline and public offers. Last year, many times the AP discounts were just as good as the interline offers. We were booking a trip in late October/early November this year for a value resort and the AP discount was 30% with availbility only at ASMo (premium room only) or ASMu (standard or premium). When I called interline they offered me a 40% discount (they didn't say that, but that's how the math worked out) at ASMo (premium room only), ASMu (standard room) and POP (standard room).

So, we jumped on the POP offer. We got a 6 night stay at POP for $440 including tax. So the interline discount was bigger and was available at more hotels than the AP offer for our dates.

We had not been using interline discounts very much the past couple of years since public offers or AP offers were as good or better. But now it seems like Disney is pulling back on their offers and interline is looking better and better again.

We also jumped on the POP interline rate for 5 nights 12/4/10 - check out 12/09/10 for $330 including tax! Standard room

Interline rates open up in August for the next calendar year ie all of 2011. There are a limited number of rooms available at each resort and view. You can get them anytime if there are still rooms available.

If your not fussy about where you stay you might be able to get something last minute. If you want a particular resort I would book as far in advance as you can and have a second and third choice. I booked as soon as the discounts became available so I was able to get my first choice. They even had CL so I jumped on it. Good luck.
