Interesting side effect from "The Passion"?

We had twice as many people as normal in church for our Ash Wednesday service. Did anyone else notice this?

Nope, not us. Numbers were down from last year. Maybe they were all at the movies!

Our numbers were high also, but I don't think it had a thing to do with the movie.

We had a lot of people at church last night. I was surprised.

I got ashes at work(Catholic hospital), but my mother and DH said the same thing!!!! They didn't attribute it to the movie, but they did both comment that there were an awful lot of people at the services they attended. And both churches had more than 1 service too.

I guess I figured it was that with all the hype about the movie coming out on Ash Wednesday - people remembered that it WAS Ash Wednesday.
