The study doesn't mention "ultra" conservatives, or "radical" right wing ideologies does it? It just says conservatives. I think you should have kept your title the way it was.

True, but since many conservatives are rather moderate, the concepts mentioned don't hold true for all of them.

When you look at the folks like G. W. Bush, Phelps, Limbaugh, etc they fit the mold perfectly.

These "train wrecks" are really what I was getting at, earlier in the week, when I posited that folks who supported Obama should perhaps stick to just criticizing him, and folks who didn't support Obama should perhaps stick to just praising him. Anything else can be readily dismissed as petty, politically-motivated and vacuous rhetoric.

When you change your title, it doesn't represent the study you posted. The study is clear to say conservatives only without any value added on (ultra, moderate, etc.) Surely researchers from Berkeley know how to define the subjects of their own studies. Changing your title makes it OK for people to read it and say "Oh that study is more valid because it is really just talking about radical conservatives." The truth is it is talking about ALL conservatives.

See I think any study you do that makes broad generalizations like this one (and like the liberals are mental whack-jobs one) you have to be talking about those on the extreme ends. You can't possibly include those who may stand in the middle and lean one way or the other. Plus, there's always two parts of the spectrum, you can be economically liberal or conservative and socially lean the complete other way. I think there is some truth to this study, but only when you look at the extreme ends. I don't think you can take the entire bucket of those who identify themselves as conservatives and apply them to this study. Besides, I think it's good thing that the person who posted this is liberal and can see that it doesn't apply to all conservatives.

A questionable psychological study by mentally ill liberals about people who may or may not be partialy or semi-partially or entirely ultra moderately conservative.

I think that would be the closest you could get to making everyone happy.

I think I am on the right track though when pinhead scholars make up studies to tell folks how dumb conservatives are. Likewise, it is doubly affirming when such studies are coyly linked on the CB by anxious libs.
