One year my MIL got my husband a Dr. Phil book about dating relationships and finding the right person. My husband and I had been married for several years.

Is she trying to tell you something? LOL

Got lots of nice thoughtful gifts, but the most unusual was a scalp massager :scratchin. As a joke all the adults in our family each got one in asst colors :teeth:. As I love my head massaged, what started out as a joke, is actual very beneficial and I kid you not... this thing is great! :lmao:

We have one of those. LOOOOOOVE that thing!

I gave one to my husband. I thought this was funny so I got him this:

Jokes on me though bc he loves it and plans to use it at work where he is on the cell phone all day.

my interesting gift, but one I wanted, was a stuffed Walter from the Muppet movie. I recently went on a weekend with friends where one of the women had a walter to join us. We took pix of him with the different sites for a nephew of her's. It was so much fun I decided he was going to be our mascot for our trip for DS and I to have fun with. My DH said "I don't understand it, but you wanted it so there you go". I'm in . He's coming to disney with us in January!

my surprise gift was Rick Grimes, a 3.75 " vinyl figure.

Nice! My son got me a crayon shaped eraser from his school's holiday workshop. :-) and my husband put star bursts in my stocking which I am 100% sure he knows I can not eat lol.

I picked out what I thought were funny gifts for my kids and they went over like a lead balloon. I really thought they would love their quirkiness.

DD17 has a bond with our clownfish- he eats out of her fingers and comes to front of the tank whenever she goes by- she loves this fish. So when I saw a pair of clownfish slippers in a catalog DH and I knew we had to get them for her.

DD12 loves footie jammies and snuggling up in blankets. She is always cold. She has a Snuggy that she often just wears around the house but it is too big and gets in the way. So I found a Forever Lazy on clearance after last Christmas and had to get it for her. I thought she would love to have something comfy to wear similar to the snuggy.

They both looked at us like this then they opened them: :confused3. Of course DH and I were :lmao::rotfl2: . My girls have a great sense of humor and usually see the funny in things-- and like to pick out quirky gifts for others-- but they just didn't seem to think these were funny. I am sure if they were on here they would be posting about the very "interesting" gifts their parents got them. Oh well. Next year they get socks and underwear!

Do white elephant gifts count? Because if so I got a toothbrush that plays 2 different Lady Gaga songs.

Saw the Lady Gaga singing toothbrush in a Walgreen's ad circular and jokingly requested it for my birthday earlier in December. And DW got it for me!!!!

If it's from Collin Street Bakery, send it my way!!! It's not Christmas until our fruitcake arrives! :cloud9:

Collin Street bakery fruitcakes are the only ones worth eating. We just call them Corsicana fruitcakes. :thumbsup2

I got my kids Forver Lazys as a joke and they have barely taken them off since Christmas :rotfl: My middle dd(14) has even asked if they come in another color!

My girls bought me a set of knives. I hate to cook but they were trying so I will open them and cut something...or someone!

My ds (17) had his first christmas where he thought and bought out christmas presents all with his own earned money. He bought my dh a package of chocolate doughnuts, white-powdered doughnuts and loaf of raisen bread. But first he told his dad he was proud that he has lost almost 50 pounds since his heart surgery in April.:lmao: And he got me a Duck's Dynasty tshirt with the phrase "Work hard. . Nap Hard" and a pix of one duck's dynasty men on it. Ds was soo proud when I opened it and he said he got a free shirt, because it was buy one/get one free sale. We all had a good laugh.
